Book: Happy Hour
Author: Michele Scott
Winner: WILL BE ANNOUNCED HERE SO COME BACK TO SEE IF YOU'VE WON
Website: http://www.michelescott.com/
While I have not yet read Happy Hour, it’s definitely one I can’t wait to dive into (with a nice glass of Chardonnay in hand!). What a premise – four close friends who live in Napa Valley meet on Sundays for get-togethers, food and wine. Wouldn’t life be great if we could all take Sundays and make it our OWN day to hang with our best girlfriends, drink great wine and eat fabulous food?
But then again, it sure would make Mondays even harder!
Review on Amazon:Four friends working in Napa Valley, Sundays are for fellowship, good food and wine. Jamie is editor-in-chief at "Wine Lover's Magazine," and a single mother. Before her husband died, she lived a fairy tale life. Guilt from his death keeps her from moving forward. Kat is a sommelier, and co-owner of a restaurant with her chef husband Christian. Although deeply in love they deal with a myriad of issues, including ex-spouses, Kat's teenage sons and her new age mother Venus. Danielle is a vintner who finds herself entrenched in both an identity and family crises when her eldest daughter returns home from college with a bombshell of a secret. Alyssa is an artist and gallery owner. When a tragic past event catches up with her, she must face the skeleton in her closet and rely on her friends to see her through her darkest hours. These women discover that friendship is the right prescription to get through the hard times as well as for enjoying the wonderful moments together.
Michele Scott is the author of Murder Uncorked and the Wine Lover's Mystery Series as well as the Horse Lover's Mystery Series for Berkley Prime Crime (Penguin). Michele has been writing for more than fifteen years and after twelve years of pursuing her passion, she signed two three-book deals with Berkley in less than a year. Her debut novel Murder Uncorked, nominated for a best first mystery award by Romantic Times BookClub, hit the Barnes & Nobles mystery bestseller list and the Independent Mystery Bestseller list. Her newest books El PatrĂ³n and Happy Hour are departs from the cozy style. Happy Hour comes straight from the soul, touching on the struggles of women dealing with teenagers, aging parents, step-children, divorce and so much more. El Patron is a saga filled with lust, power, intrigue and action. Michele has been featured in The Writer, Romantic Times, San Diego Magazine, and Touring & Tasting.
