That 17 years ago today, hungover from drinking probably peach margaritas at Carlos Murphy's bar on Butterfield Road, Mr. Manic asked me to marry him in front of all of our family right after the Bears lost and before we had our Thanksgiving dinner.
I'm so thankful he took a risk on me!
And 17 years I'd rather be no where else than with my beautiful family on this day!
What are you thankful for this beautiful weekend!
Blessings to you all!

Thankful to God, thankful for my family, my ability to read, and all my friends in blogland:)
Have a Happy Thanksgiving Manic!
Happy engagement-anniversary AND happy Thanksgiving, Manic! Hope you gorge yourselves with WAY too much food... just like we'll be doing! :)
Now that's a good way to get rid of a hangover ;) Way to go, Mr Manic! Happy Thanksgiving, Steph!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! =)
Health, a good marriage, a lovely house, a job I love, family who understand when I need to not be with everyone. And three kinds of pie!
Happy Thanksgiving, Manic!
awww that's so sweet. ;)
I just did a blog post of what I'm thankful for! :)
Right this very second I'm thankful I don't have to go to work tomorrow cause I should have been in bed an hour ago.
I wish we had thanksgiving over here then there'd be something else after bonfire night before the main event and Scrumpy's reason for living!
Hope you all have a great time!
Awww....that's a great story!
I'm thankful for my handsome hubby, who is walking our dog right now before we all settle in for the night. I'm thankful that we have a home to settle into. And so much more...I guess that overall, I'm thankful that God comes through on his promises :)
What a sweet story Manic! A lovely time of year for an engagement.
Did he hide the ring in the turkey?
How sweet! Glad you two are so happy. Happy (belated) Thanksgiving!
Now Manic, how could anyone top that?
But yes, I very thankful for my family, and even though things are far from perfect, at least we are all healthy.
I thankful for my first Blogger friend, Manic! And to all those that followed.
SPEAKING of my blogger friends, I wonder if Manic, others of you more experienced, might read my post about Blog Progress after 286 days (link below) and tell me if this is parallel to you own experiences in many, or any, ways. I'm still new and unsure of myself!
