It’s Hard Not to Hate You
By Valerie Frankel
From the author of THIN IS THE NEW HAPPY comes a hilarious new memoir about embracing your Inner Hater. In the midst of a health and career crisis, Valerie uncorks years of pent up rage, and discovers you don't have to be happy to be happy. You don’t have to love everyone else to like yourself. And that your Bitchy Twin might just be your funniest, most valuable and honest ally.
I fell in love with the memoir, It’s Hard Not to Hate You, by description and cover alone. And then when I got into the very first few pages and I realized it begins with the trauma of bitchy friends in junior high, well, author Valerie Frankel won me over.
I give her a ton of credit for being so brave to write this book. It’s kind about letting go of the hate WE ALL HAVE INSIDE but in a different way. Expulsing yourself from all the hate from within. But with humor that will have you busting out laughing because you sooo know these types of people. You’ll be laughing like crazy and saying, “YES! That’s so true!”
In the book, Valerie was advised by a doctor to reduce stress. To do so, she discovered that the hate had to come out. She goes on a mission of “emotional honesty, vowing to let herself feel and express all the toxic emotions she’d long suppressed or denied: jealousy, rage, greed, envy, impatience, regret.”
In her personal History of Hate, Valerie covers everything from mean girls in junior high, selfish boyfriends in her twenties and old professional rivals. In her current life, she deals with things many of us combat daily: snobby neighbors, rude cell phone talkers, scary doctors and helicopter moms (ugh, my favorites). You’ll have to read It’s Hard Not to Hate You to see if you’re as brave as Valerie is when it comes to confronting these spiteful people in your own life!
She even counts the ways she hates her husband in the book, but fortunately, there are only three!
In the end, Frankel discovers that her trip down Hate Lane proved to be an authentic emotional experience for her and there are “no wrong emotions, only wrong ways of dealing with them.”
To enter to win Valerie Frankel’s It’s Hard Not To Hate You, share with me one or two things you really, really hate. Here are a couple of things I really hate:
When people write: NOM NOM when they are saying something tastes good instead of like yum yum or yummy.
When people in the grocery line are talking on the cell phone instead of being polite to the person checking them out. HOW RUDE IS THAT? Get off your effing cell phone and say hello to the person checking you out! Ask them how their day is! They are doing you a service for crying out loud!
Also, I haven’t gotten to the part of the book where Valerie reveals the three hates about her husband but I’ll tell you one of mine: I hate when my husband walks around the kitchen without his shirt on. GROSS!
Two more books up for grabs this week if my internet doesn't die on me again!:

One of the things I really hate, is when someone goes to the 10 items or less line with a full cart of groceries. C'mon!
I hate when people leave their shopping carts strewn around a store's parking lot. Cart returns are readily available, and it takes two seconds to stick your cart in one. It's inconsiderate to the people trying to park, and HORRIBLY inconsiderate to the people who have to go out and gather the carts.
I hate rude people and brussel sprouts
I really really hate when people are on they're cell phone at a checkout and the clerk is trying to talk to them and they are not paying any attention. It's rude! If the call is not an emergency then it can wait until they get through the checkout.

whistling...tuneless, through your teeth, whistling of the variety that the guy in my office does ALL freaking day! (it's even worse when i'm PMSing.) people who leave their shopping crats in the middle of an already crowded aisle and go wandering aisles away. people who don't say "excuse" me when they bump into you while they act liek they're going up stream to spawn....i can go on all day!
Loud eaters and when you come to a four way stop and the person waves for you to go even though they stopped first. I dont know if this is a Texas thing but it happens all the time!
I really really hate that when my boyfriend is angry-stressed he doesn't talk. I really, really hate cold weather.
Is it bad that I hate one of my coworker's voice? LOL! Also, he does this super annoying hacking/clearing throat thing. or super loud burps (without saying excuse me) ugh! I just wish some people had manners.
I also hate socks. I would wear flip flops year round.
Crystal717
I hate really long toe nails. It creeps me out.
Carie
I really hate the expression Cool Beans! I hate how gross men can be sometimes too. Like this morning my husband blew his nose on his shirt that was in the hamper. GROSS! His defense was it has to be washed anyway...yeah but someone- namely me has to touch it in order to do that.
I truly despise when a guest or family member wipes their hands on the bath towels instead of the hand towel that is clearly there-FOR YOUR HANDS!
Eloisepeaches-ID
I hate people in the check out line who are talking with a friend and then when the cashier gives them the total they suddenly realize they have to pay and the can't remember where they hide their money.
I hate people who stay on their cell phones when they are in any kind of service type situation - grocery lines, DMV, etc.
I also hate when my husband is hungry and behaves like a cranky 3 year old! It's like he forgot that he fed himself for many years before we moved in together!
I absolutely hate it when someone in the office clips their fingernails. That is one of the most annoying sounds!
I hate parking lots (especially the Kroger near my house). Everybody drives like a douchebag and speed through like their pants are on fire. SLOW DOWN!
I HATE when people don't use proper punctuation, grammar or word choice... There are differences between your and you're. "Your welcome" is not a proper response to "thank you". Its verses It's - come on people, its not that hard! They're, their and there - its not that hard.
Being a southern girl, I hate it when people abbreviate y'all "ya'll". Hello! Y'all = you all. You're not leaving any letters out of "all", they're out of "you". Basic rules of apostrophes.
If this bothers you too, pick up the book Eats, Shoots, and Leaves - you'll be on the floor laughing.
I hate when people HAVE to one up you... like if you've had a bad day and "Well, my day was worse because..." I hate when my husband puts his dirty clothes on the floor next to the dirty clothes basket!
kndyer
I HATE finding door dings on my car after coming out of a store..I even judge cars around me when I park if they look like ding-ers or not.
I also hate when people use the expression 'epic' to describe things that are very much not epic.
The guy who goes out of his way to pull out in front of you and then drives 10 miles under the speed limit.
I hate cigarettes and the smell of them. I also hate people that take advantage of others.
-Phillly5
Ludy 2288, I say 'epic'. It's horrible, but I blame it on the valley. :)
I loathe doing poo patrol, But I DO IT because I love our dog. That being said, I hate people who do NOT do their own poo patrol. ON MY FRONT LAWN....grrr...my kids play there for goodness sakes.
I also hate the crazy drivers in the school zone. HELLO?!?! You can drive reckless with your own kids in the car and I will pray for them, DO NOT drive reckless around my kids. I'll punch ya.
Thanks for the giveaway Manic.
Something I really, really hate is when people smoke in their cars with their children inside. Makes me so angry that I want to get out of my car, walk over to their car, and not so gently pull them out and make them eat their cigarette.
I hate doing the dishes. They gross me out and I feel like I never get the nasty off my hands.
I actually just left the grocery store and the lady in front of me was on the phone. I was thinking about how annyoing she was and I saw the check out lady rolling her eyes. Good for her. How annoying.
Also, I have to add that I love the word panties so I am sorry to see that it came up as most hated.
I hate when my husband does dishes or cleans the kitchen,he acts like he deserves a million gold stars and contiuous praise (Welcome to my world).
I also hate toxic people, who love to start trouble but then step back and watch the drama unfold.
One thing I really hate are when people "misbehave" and then think that if they apologize later then the crappy behaviour is ok.
The second thing I hate is that I tend to have anxiety issues and they make me feel mental. :(
I love the cover of this book too!!!
Thanks again for the giveaways!

I really hate it that most people have no clue that others can be sickend by perfume & other scented things - air freshener, smelly soap, laundry detergent, fabric softner, etc. What's wrong with things just...smelling like what they smell like??
jcsites2002 at hotmail dot com
I hate when we have to close our camp for the winter, I hate when my teenage daughter is only nice to me when she wants something and I hate my job because I have customers yell at me all day.
Oh, this is SO timely because I just got finished chewing my husband out over supper. I HATE it when he starts eating at the table and doesn't compliment the food or at least the effort! AND I can't stand it when he just assumes I'm doing the dishes- oh, by the way, he probably wasn't listening....
Such great books to win---thank you! I have discovered some awesome "chic lit" because of you!
I really hate having to get into a freezing cold car in the winter. I bet you don't miss that at all!
cabest@yahoo.com
I hate when my husband says that he cleaned the kitchen, but the counters aren't clean.
I HATE it when people clip their fingernails in the office! The clicking sound of the clippers will send me on a warpath!
Last week, I had a little hate for the mom (from the other team) complaining that my son's soccer coach took too long (eating up the clock) explaining strategy and positions to the kids between plays. Come on lady....they are six! This isn't the World Cup. Let them have their teaching moments.
Colbey J
I hate people who drive WAY over the speed limit of 25 in my neighborhood!!! We have speed bumps and I have actually seen cars go airborne when they drive over them!!
I hate mornings. and I hate my husbands snoring. Two things that are related to sleep but I have a baby so every second I can get is CRUCIAL!!!! :-}
I hate when people insist on saying "ink pens"....what other kind of pens is there?!?!?!
Unpopular opinion...but I DESPISE the TV show Seinfeld.
Kathygold9778
I was ready with this one before I read any comments and noticed the grocery store theme... I really hate it when I actually remember to bring my own environmentally friendly bags to the grocery store, and then the baggers put only a few things in each one, putting the remainder of my groceries in plastic bags--one item per bag.
OH! Sorry, I had to add this one: I HATE it when people say "myself" when the correct word is "me." Don't ever say "myself" unless you are doing something to yourself!
I hate people who believe "THE RULES" only apply to everyone else... like school parking, pick-up drop-off, treat bag no-no's, no siblings at certain school events, yadda yadda yadda!
And I seriously DISLIKE when a person refers to themself in the third person. Pompous!
OHHHHH And I hate people who don't pooper scoop! And I hate when someone you know, "pretends" they don't see you (grocery store!) cause they just don't have the extra 3 seconds to say "hello" and smile! AND - OKAY I'LL STOP!
Sounds like a fun read... Thanks AGAIN MaNiC!
Christine
I really hate when people are not grammatically correct. How hard is it to differentiate between is and are? How hard is it to say library? How hard is it to say ask instead of asx?
My big hate right now is being unemployed...anyone need a good HR person?
I also hate people who can walk right by you and not acknowledge you. Even strangers, is it that hard to make a little eye contact? Maybe throw a smile on your face?
Terri M.
I really hate people you can't please no matter what you do. Especially if they are related to you. :( ktmixon315
My daughter and I have a blog, Says Me Says Mom (http://saysmesaysmom.blogspot.com),and we actually did a post on things that we hate about two months ago. Anyway, one thing that I really hate is when people are your friends one minute and the next they are not without any reason or explanation. Another thing I really hate is when I feel like I am talking to the walls because I keep having to tell my kids the same things but they still don't listen.
I hate that people expect you to respond to texts and emails immediately because its on your phone now. Melissa Rem
My first thought was my G-Mom telling me that hate is a strong word and I shouldn't use it. I hate that I use every little saying she told me as a child.
I hate when I'm already speeding on the freeway, usually about 80+mph, and I am passed by someone with children in the car.
I hate that I stay upset until I talk about whats bothering me and my boyfriend is the exact opposite. He can take a walk or drive and be back minutes later like nothing happened and I'm still upset.
Chomping when a person eats.
Someone touching my face, or getting in my personal space.
When someone bumbs into you, goes around you and doesn't say excuse me.
And when you say "Hi!How are you?" and the person doesn't answer.
kyfaithw at aol dot com
I hate littering and people who have no respect for the environment. I especially hate the people who throw things out of their car windows. They don't want garbage in their car but they don't car if it ends up all over the roads.
I havte people who don't think rules apply to them. Like the people who smoke on the beach right near the no smoking posts and then throw their butts in the sand.
I HATE gum poppers. You know, the type who pop their gum loudly, rather than use it to freshen their breath. It's scratch your nails on the chalkboard (which are now extinct) annoying!
I hate traffic. Living in NJ there is no way around traffic. I hate when people are on the bus, or some other form of public transportation, and are talking loudly on their cell phone. It's so so rude. There was one time this lady was, first talking very loud, and she was talking about, how can I say, things that happen in the bedroom. Why on earth would someone want a bus load of people to hear what goes on in their personal lives.
amyrbromberg(at)gmail (dot) com
I hate it when people overuse ellipsis in their messages instead of periods. What's the point? It's two extra key strokes! Why wouldn't use just use a period like you're supposed to?!
I also hate it when people use ellipsis with the wrong number of dots. It's three dots! Not two. Not fifteen. Three!
dani patarazzi
I hate how often and how many things there are for people to complain about. Hey, things happen in life that are annoying. Just deal with it!!
I hate it when people use apostrophes incorrectly!
I don't hate much but what I do hate I hate A LOT! I hate when you hold the door open for someone and they breeze through without even looking up or saying thank you. I hate when someone cuts me off in traffic and then proceeds to drive as slow as molasses. Basically I hate rude, self centered people.
Colleen Turner
I hate cold weather and cigarettes.
-Donna W.
I hate HOT & Humid weather.. my hair becomes totally useless during the summer months. I also hate pickles... nasty & slimey..whats to like?
I hate people who don't use turn signals. I also hate people who stay in relationships despite the fact that he/she doesn't she a real, legitimate future with his/her significant other.
I hate hypocrisy and self-righteousness in all forms. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of the book. It sounds like a lot of fun.
1. People who have full conversation on the commuter train. Yes we all have cell phones too but yours my friend is about to be smashed in a million pieces. 2. People who don't use directionals/blinkers - oh I'm so very glad you know where your going so now if you could just extend a little common courtesy to the rest of us it would be greatly appreciated. 3. People who eat on the phone I'm all for multi-tasking but there's a line people so please hold off on stuffing your face with that potato chip until after you hang up the phone
i hate people who are late all the time. once i can understand. twice and you might want to leave a little earlier. three times and you're just plain rude.
1. People who are constantly negative about everything. You're alive! Find something to be happy about. I can't ALL be bad ALL the time.
2. Moronic drives: texting/driving, going way below the speed limit, cutting me off in morning rush hour, riding my butt. I could go on and on...
Amy Goddard
One thing I really hate is when people chew with their mouth open. And my husband happens to do this at times. I have to have the TV on to drown out the sound!
Katie-big 3-0 shape-up
I hate judgey people...people that think they are soooo much better than everyone else for one reason or another, and they REALLY AREN'T!! I hate rudeness and stupidity...sometimes I have no patience for either!!
There are 3 things in life I totally hate...
1. Bad drivers
2. Ignorant, self-righteous attitudes
3. When I am craving popcorn from the theatre down the street and my husband refuses to go get some for me! ;-)
One thing that absolutely drives me bonkers is when people near you are chewing gum with their mouths wide open so you can hear everything. I have a co-worker who sits right next to me and every day I can hear him chewing away. Sometimes I feel like throwing something at him, but I refrain.
I hate when people talk while chewing. I hate waking up before 10 am (so basically I hate every morning). And I hate people who don't use their blinkers when turning or changing lanes.
I really really hate when people talk loudly on their phones on public transportation. I also really hate when people drag their teeth on their forks.... the sound kills me!
I hate when people say irregardless. drives me batty.
I hate the way one of my coworkers spells advertising - advertizing. All the time. Even when she's been corrected. Even when she always nags about making sure things are spelled correctly.
I hate when our VP of sales says equally as well. Drives me nuts!
I hate when people dont load the dishwasher properly. I have to empty it and do it myself. I've gotten to the point where I just have everyone leave it all in the sink and I'll load it.
qweska8402
I hate when a co-worker is supposed to show up for work and doesn't! How selfish can you be to leave people hanging.
I also hate people who instigate drama with others for their own personal enjoyment. Can you say psycho?
Nicole
I hate when I see people out to dinner and talking on their cells. If you are out to dinner then put the cell away and enjoy each other.
Another being told that I NEED to answer my cell because that is why you have a cell--I NEED to do no such thing. If I do not want to talk to then I do not have to. That is why there is caller ID--BTW the cell is great for emergencies not having you stock me and account for every second of my time--and I am 39 not 16.
I hate being taken for granted...for example, if I cook dinner, you need to say "thank you" or "that was good" or something at the very least. It's so very annoying. Not that this is directed at my husband of course! LeslieGC
I hate how my ex is controlling and delittling. He does it to our daughter too.
I hate when people call me at work and want me to do something in a rush, like they are special. Also, people who drive the opposite way in the parking lot and then look at you like you are the one that is wrong!
iambtinrb
Ugh, I have one for you to share that JUST happened! In line for school drop off and a BEEEYOTCH honked at me to HURRY UP when dropping my kid off!!! REALLY!!! REALLY SHE WANTS ME TO HURRY UP IN LINE TO DROP MY KID OFF!!! I give her a kind wave when I really want to flip her off. Luke said, "Mom, she's shaking her head at you." UGH!!! Then she's twirling her hair. GIVE ME AN EFFING BREAK!!!! Like it's MORE important that she drops her kid off when clearly SHE'S RUNNING BEHIND SCHEDULE because she's LATE because she's BEHIND ME!!! I wanted to get my HATE ON BIG TIME!!! But I just smiled big and took my time and didn't let my stress level show in front of Luke and the other little boys I was dropping off. UGH!!!! THIS IS HATRED at its finest!!!!!! When I left the school, I did say outloud alone in my car, "Go ahead and twirl your hair you stupid bitch!"
I hate smoking! The smell bothers me to no end! I also hate when people write in upper and lower case letters.
I hate when people get in my way when I'm in a hurry!! I also really hate arrogance and selfishness (although everyone has to be selfish every now and then). Oh, and spiders...I REALLY hate spiders.
ChristinaL
These comments are awesome! Lots of healthy hate out there.
I hate when people chew with their mouth open! Or just hearing them chew, ugh gross. I also hate people who are unnecessarily noisy.
Random things I hate, people who fail to recognize that cigarette butts are litter too.
On the husband thing, I hate how sloppy my husband is. This isn't the "leaves his socks in the floor" type sloppiness. This is finding peanut butter or butter smeared on the microwave or refrigerator door or finding pieces of onion, apple or whatever he's cut up all over the kitchen.
sharpjds at yahoo dot com
I hate when people give me their opinions on how I should raise my kids when it comes to important stuff. Yesterday someone told me I shouldn't do anything about my daughter's hearing loss and just let her be deaf. :P Like I'm going to get my son a cochlear implant but let her hear nothing?!?
I hate rush hour traffic and people who don't know how to drive properly. Especially people who try to make a U turn when I'm trying to turn right into that same lane.
Melissa A from CLC
When people don't know the difference between your and you're or there, they're and their, etc. And cell phones in public.
I hate ketchup and when people say good instead of well.
Ally N
I hate when someone says 'PIN number.' What do they think the N stands for?? This also goes for ATM machine.
Stefanie R.
I hate when people talk loudly in a library. And especially if it is the librarian!
Two things, I hate.
1. Mice/Rodents
2. Allergies.
I take a lot of walks with my babies, and I hate when people park on the sidewalk!
I also hate things that other people also hate, like rudeness, poor grammar/punctuation/spelling, and unsolicited parenting advice.
I hate rude, inconsiderate people. I try to give most people the benefit of the doubt - you never know what might be going on in someone's life - but I teach my kids that there is no excuse for being mean to people. And people who smell like cigarette smoke... icky.
I hate it when people use the phrase "What Not." It drives me nuts and it really doesn't make a lot of sense.
I hate it when people are rude to servers. Somtimes I know you get bad service but that is no reason to talk down to someone.
Hate is such a strong word, but there does come a time, when it is an appropriate word, such as in the following cases:
LOUD CELL PHONE TALKERS: I and I'm sure I'm speaking for the majority of the people around me. We don't care what you are talking about! In fact, newsflash, we have our own lives and you are disturbing us so please, tone it down or shut the ____(fill it in however you like)____) up, thank you, very much!
Littering: Do I really need to explain? It's just disgusting and has to be stopped or we're all going to live in a world full of crap!
We've all shared two simple things to make the world a better place. YEAH! From: Cindy in Miami, writeoncindy@yahoo.com I can't wait to read the novel!!!
Are you sure you only want one or two things??!! LOL!!! Two things that I really hate is when I am at work and getting report from a co-worker and they decide to answer their cell phone while I am in the middle of talking or when they start to talk to someone else. . .i am trying to get the heck out of work. . .just listen to what I need to tell you for one hot second. I also really hate when people pull in front of me while I am driving and drives super slow. There are many more and I could go on and on but I will just list those two things for now!!! CATA63!!
PS I really hate fake people as well!!!
This may be difficult to keep to a couple of things. I guess the biggest peeves of mine are people who board the airplane with oversized bags (usually more than one) and take all of the overhead space. I also detest it when people litter, especially when a trash can is simply a few feet away.
One thing that I hate is the way my two children are ignored and forgotten by their Grandparents. I don't keep them away, I don't tell you cant see them, I don't tell you you can't call, write, or anything like that.. I hate that they choose to ignore them because I am their mother, and their son is their father.:o( I would understand if we were bad people, abusing them, hurting them, not providing for them, but our kids are our life, and the inlaws much rather think out of site out of mind..
I hate when people use "your" instead of "you're." Same with its/it's. Drives me nuts!
I hate: weather colder than 50 degrees, liars, and people who don't know when it's time to grow up.
Hi Manic! I may have to download this book to my Kindle...I've been dealing with a lot of hateful feelings the last two days. But anyway...two things I hate are killing spiders if the hubs isn't around and being SICK. I am just getting over a cold and it SUCKED!! LOL!! Anyway, thank you so much for taking the time to do another giveaway. I love reading your blog and hearing about all the cool books out there. Take Care, Nan
Right now I really hate my husband's boss! Like really HATE a lot! But since the economy sucks we should all just grin & bear it! & hope we can keep the lights on:)
I really hate people who talk on their cell phones when driving (normally at least 10 miles over or under the speed limit, occasionally crossing over lane lines) - RUDE and EXTREMELY UNSAFE!
I also really hate it when my neighbor lets her 3 and 4 year olds play in the middle of our street during the 5pm rush hour and expect people to go wayy under the speed limit to look out for them when they have a perfectly good (and much SAFER) back yard that they can play in.
I really, really hate when people talk with food in their mouth! Yuuuchhh - how gross! And some people I have had lunch with actually take a bite.... and then start talking. Really people??
Another thing that really gets my goat is when people spell receive 'recieve'. Arrrggghh!! That one really jumps out at me and rubs me the wrong way.
Of course looking at this extensive list of things that other people hate, I could go on and on..... oh yeah, I hate that too, yep, hate that one and that one..........
I hate all things spitty. Like when people have lots of spit when they talk and you can see it? And I also REALLY hate when I hear someone walking nearby (9 times out of 10, it's a male) and they do that throat clearing thing and then spit on the sidewalk. That kills me! Not only is it gross to hear, but I gotta SEE it when I walk past it. And while this really icks me out, it's like 50 times worse to see a female do the same thing. Trashy.
I hate when people judge me before getting to know me. I also hate it when someone drives for miles with their turn signal on. lol
I hate knuckel cracking, don't ask me why but it's something that has always just bugged me. I also hate driving in snow and ice - something that I will have to be doing all too soon I fear! :(
When people are so engrossed in their cell phone conversations at the grocery store that they block the aisles and won't get the hell outta my way!
My boyfriend not turning the TV down before he turns it off, so that it blasts my ear drums when I turn it back on.
Hmm.. tough question actually. 1. I agree with a previous poster who mentioned people who leave shopping carts out in the middle of the parking lot. 2. I hate people who would rather send me multiple text messages rather than just calling. I hate texting period, but I'll use it for something short or quick, but if the texting "conversation" takes 10 or 15 minutes of back and forth writing, the phone call could have been long over by that point!
One thing I hate is when someone sends an email out to a bunch of people with tons of typos in it, making it extremely hard to understand. Take a second and proof it!
-tmd636
One thing that I REALLY hate is when someone is on their cell phone using a blue tooth or similar......and we are together in the aisle at a store, and I THINK they are speaking to me and I try to reply!!!
I HATE HATE HATE people who (still) text/check email while driving! I have started yelling at them from my car.
I hate it when waitstaff in restaurants make me feel rushed. If I'm in a hurry, or the restaurant is busy and you need the table, fine. But, when the joint is virtually empty and you have another 3 hours before you close, stop trying to shove me out of the front door.
(1) when people fail to push their chair in after leaving a table/desk blocking anyone else who has to get around it and (2) when people stop at the end of an exit and look around lost or wait for someone else, such as an elevator, stairwell, escalator, an airplane and then block everyone else trying to get out/off - just move out of the way, then look around. - Jill Fay
I hate when people clip their nails in front of me. True story, there was a lady doing that during my new employee orientation at my current job. There were at least 50 people in the room AND she was about to start in a management position. Talk about unprofessional!!
I also hate one-uppers. You know, those people who ALWAYS have something more than you, whether it's good or bad. i.e. "My dog just died" "Well my dog AND cat both died on the same day"
I bet Manic hates one-uppers too!

I hate when people give you unsolicited parenting advise. I get it a lot about my three year old that still sucks her thumb. I want to tell them not to worry about it they not going to pay the bill for braces later.
I really hate when people put raisens in cookies and you think they are chocolate chips! I also hate people talking about private things on cell phones in public places. I really don't need to know your business, and yes I am listening and judging you!
When a movie theater is basically empty and some sits right behind me or in front of me. They have the whole theater, why sit so CLOSE?!!
I also hate bad kids in the grocery store. People need to watch where the kid is going. If the kid can't behave, make them ride in the cart.
I hate when people block the aisle in the store - they know you want to get through and they just stand in the middle.
I hate it when people slow almost a complete stop before turning therefore causing a accident behind them.
I hate it when people talk on their cell phones in the checkout line.

~ bad drivers!!!
One thing I really hate is when a non-acquaitance of some kind (a telemarketer, cashier, etc. - anyone who I not only don't know but who I am having a very business-like transaction with) calls me "hun" or "honey" or "sweetie" or any derivation of a cutesy nickname. YOU DON'T KNOW ME! DON'T CALL ME THAT!
Another thing that I absolutely despise is when an adult speaks in a "baby voice" - and I don't mean speaks in a baby voice to an animal or a child...I mean, they think they are being cute so they make their voice all high-pitched and leave off letters. No. No no no. You are an adulttttt.

I hate when people won't admit they are wrong. Really is it the end of the world to be wrong on occasion! I'm wrong all the time and willing to admit it!! :)
People with screaming children (beyond the normal childish screaming) who absolutely REFUSE to remove them from the restaurant, play etc.
People who change lanes without signaling . ..
I am getting old and cranky lol
I hate long black hairs sticking out on people's chins!! come on you can't see that!! Plus how do I keep talking to you??????
I hate when moms are all about themselves and never ask how is your day or how are your kids. Really, you can't ask me one thing about me? It is all about you????patticole
I hate lying, hypocricy, and kiss ups. :)
