THINGS WE DIDN'T SAY by KRISTINA RIGGLE

Congratulations!
Robyn78
Please email me at stephanieelliot@gmail.com with your full name and address and I'll get your book to you!

Last book in Fab Fall Book Promo!

Well, here it is! The very last book of the Fall Fab Book Giveaway and I’m proud and honored to feature Kristina Riggle’s third novel Things We Didn’t Say. I’ve featured both of her other books here on MaNiC as well, and I love the depth of her writing. Her characters are so relatable and true-to-life, and she writes about tough subject matter here: alcoholism, divorce, blended families, the sudden disappearance of a child. Things We Didn’t Say is a book you will pick up and won’t be able to put down until the final pages.

Blurb:

What makes up a family? For Casey it’s sharing a house with her fiancĂ©, Michael, and his three children, whom she intends to nurture better than she ever took care of her self. But Casey’s plans have come undone. Michael’s silences have grown unfathomable and deep. His daughter Angel seethes as only a teenage girl can, while the wide-eyed youngest, Jewel, quietly takes it all in.

Then, son Dylan runs off and the kids’ mother, a woman never afraid to say just what she thinks, noisily barges into the home. That’s when Casey decides that the silences can no longer continue. She must begin speaking the words no one else can say. She’ll have to dig up secrets—including her own—uncovering hurts, and beginning healing that is too long overdue. And it all begins with just a few tentative words…

To enter to win the final book in the Fall Fab Book Giveaway, tell me something you say almost every day.

Obviously, you’re probably saying you love someone every day, so tell me something unique or silly or funny or crazy that you say every single day at one time or another. I think I probably say GIVE ME YOUR LUNCH BOXES every single day or DID YOU BRUSH YOUR TEETH every single day… So what are some things YOU DO SAY every day? (and yeah, we all know the usual, “Not tonight dear, I’ve got a headache … hahahah!)

Don't forget to go back and enter for the previous books. I still haven't drawn winners from the book MICE on, so there are still six books that you can enter to win!

Next week I’ll finalize the winners from all of the books and give you info on when the GRAND PRIZE drawing will be. One of you will win all 20+ books! Yes, it could be YOU! How exciting is THAT!!!!

I always ask my husband to pick up his stuff everyday! And it never gets done. Such is the life of a couple that works opposite shifts!

Since google is a part of everyday life, any time someone in the house has to google we say "google it bitch!" It is a line from a movie whose title I can't remember. We have adult children and we all must have been in goofy moods b/c we find it funny. I know it's probably sounds a unconventional and maybe dysfunctional but we crack ourselves up with it. I actually asked my daughter if she ever thought this would be an almost daily tag-line with all of us even just a couple years ago.

I tell my husband, "Have a nice day. Drive safely. Don't get any paper cuts. Be careful. I love you," every day. I have the first letter of each word engraved on his wedding ring. He says it back to me every day, too. The don't get any papercuts was in reference to my one-time paper pushing job.

Every day... at least 3 times a day LOL I say.. "Really!?" Of course, you have to say it with a little bit of a higher voice and emphasis is on the "lly!?" part. :)

I would love to win the big prize of all of the books, but I'd be happy with just this one too! I'm going to go back and check out the other book giveaways that you have left and see if I can try my luck!

I do say everyday it's a small world. I find with the help of facebook it is amazing to get in touch with old friends and discover some of them are not that far away. I've actually moved to a new community and discovered an old neighbor has moved a few houses down. It really is a small world.

Emily said...

It is meant in a COMPLETELY JOKING MANNER...but I probably say, "do you have a gun?" every day in response to my secretary asking how its going or if I need anything.

"Hurry, hurry" - trying to encourage my dogs to use the potty b/c it's starting to get cold outside/I'm gonna be late for work.

Also whenever I get home I say "heyyyy fat girl!" (who is always asleep on the couch waiting for us to get home) and "where's my Chula Bunnie" (b/c unlike Nova, Chula likes her peace and quiet when she's napping so she sleeps in her kennel.)

I am very close to my Mother and Sister (personal soliloquy, "Was I supposed to capitalize those? I think not but...whatever") although I'm in LA (Louisiana, not Los A...), Mama is in Canada, and Sis is in KY. Well, talk all the time and I made us shorten the whole end of conversation thing (you know, love you, love you too, bye stuff) to just o and o- get it? It's short for over and out cause of course we love each other so just- o and o.
