Hi everyone! So, I have WINNER names for you for April
books. If your name is listed below, please email me at stephanieelliot@gmail.com with your
full name and address so I can get your book to you.
Before I list the winners, there are a couple of housekeeping things to mention.
First, before I forget, if you head over to InternationalChick Lit Month on Monday, May 7, I will have a guest post there, and I do believe I’ve
offered to give away five copies of The Cell Phone Lot, so if you take a few
moments to go read about how I morphed from a mommy blogger to a book blogger
and leave a comment, you could still have a chance to read my e-novella. And it
would look really cool to the people who put the ICLM program together to see
that I had a whole bunch of commenters over there. So please and thank you! : )
Next: You may have noticed that I haven’t been personally
blogging here in a long while. My kids are growing up and it’s no longer cool
to dish about their personal lives any longer. So, I do that over here now at
SheKnows Real Moms Guide where they have NO IDEA! If you’d like to read stuff
there, please feel free to do so. I’m there every day with some very cool moms.
You also may have noticed that because it’s no longer a
personal ‘mommy’ blog, I’ve switched the name to:
to
obviously better reflect what goes on here. BOOKS! Which brings me to the next
point:
"Booking with Manic"
I have a TON, and I mean A TON of books here that I need to
share with you – seriously SO MANY to tell you about that I could give away a
new book every single day! The problem is, I don’t have enough time to read
them all. I need to know from you if I am giving you ENOUGH information about
the books and if you’re happy with the format I’m providing?
Do you like the types of books I’m sharing with you? Are
there authors I’m not featuring you would like to see? Tell me which ones!
Do you want other genres? Tell me what is on your wish list
and I can try to make it happen. This is a blog for YOU and I would love to
find books that you desire!
Summer is almost here, and that means my duties as taxi
driver, school teacher, chef (when I cook!), etc, etc, slow down a bit and I
will have more time to dedicate to the blog. My summer goal is to be able to
bring you 3-5 books a week on the blog. I am very much hoping to make this
happen. My kids get out of school in less than three weeks! Can you hang on
until then! If so, here is the lineup for summer... click on the links to check out all these amazing books just waiting for you! ...
And so many more to come!
How does that sound for a great summer line-up!
Want in? Just keep coming back to Booking with Manic, and it
would really be terrific if you could share this link on your FB or Twitter!
The next three in the line-up will be … Arranged, Jeneration X and The Rock Star in Seat 3A so stay tuned, but in the meantime, here are the
recent book winners … and if you could kindly leave a comment on how you would
like to see this blog run in the future, I would LOVE some feedback –
on how to announce winners
how much time to allow you all to enter before I choose
winners (am I giving you too much time?)
if you like the books I’m featuring
what do you wish I would do differently on the blog - anything that would make it easier for you? Or more fun?
PS – I LOVE reading your answers to the questions I pose for
each book and I feel connected to you all. ALSO, there are so many times I want
to comment, but if I do, it will mess up the format for how I choose a winner
through random.org so that is why I don’t comment but I LOVE learning about
your favorite summers, best wedding stories, favorite song memories! Also, if
you are not my Facebook friend yet, please friend me – you’ll find out about
posts and updates on this blog so much faster and other great book info! Just
let me know when you FB me that you are from the blog!
Here are the recent winners (please email me at stephanieelliot@gmail.com with your
full name and address so I can get your book to you):

I was in a friend's wedding in Savannah, and for the bridal
party instead of a limo we had a trolley drive us around, which was fun and
cool.

I was very lonely after I had my son almost
2 years ago. He was in the NICU the whole time, so I sent my husband home with
our 16 month old daughter at the time to keep her on a schedule. I spent the
whole time recovering from my c-section alone with my little guy in the NICU.
It lead to post-partum depression and an extremely lonely time in my life.

Montel Jordan's This Is How We Do It, will
always remind me of high school. It was a song that if we heard it on the
radio, we knew it would be a great night =)!

I for one like your blog a lot! It's not too complicated. I find some a little too busy. I like that generally when you have a post you also have a giveaway. Of course for us followers it's always nice to win a book.
I like the variety you have also. Perhaps a few more mystery/chick lit books.
Oh and I have friended you on fb(Literary Chanteuse Margaret)
Thanks!
So excited about your summer books!
I love your blog. I think you're doing a great job.You post a variety of books and don't "lock" us into one genera. I don't think you need to change a thing.
i love your blog! i definitely think having a separate post for the winners is helpful just because it puts all of them in one place instead of having to go back and search. so far all of the books have been super interesting and ones i would check out, and they all seem to be different styles! definitely looking forward to reading more from you!
I love your blog. Look forward to it every day. Also like the change of putting all winners in one post. I also think the variety of books is awesome. I find for myself to get in a rut and not try out new authors and this blog gives great suggestions for doing so.
Thanks,
Nicole
I too like the winners all in one post. Your variety of books is great, and I always enjoy visiting your blog.
I enjoy your blog! I like that you have questions/requests that tie to the book when signing up for a giveaway - I love reading all the responses rather than just seeing a long list of "I want in" or some other form of sign up!
I prefer the winners to be listed together in a separate post - going back through all the posts becomes somewhat tedious if I don't log on every day (I do send the blog through my Google Reader, but even there it can get "cluttered")!
Your variety is awesome and I've found lots of books to add to the ever growing TBR list from your reveiws/posts/giveaways!
I like the variety of books you post. If left to my own devices, I will stick with chick lit, which I LOVE, but its nice to check out something else every once in awhile. I like your take on the books & how you include info about the authors- the book giveaways are just a bonus!
I love any and all books you give away, I'm not picky!!! Thank you so much for what you do and for sharing such wonderful books and authors!! :)

Super exciting about the new books. I like everything about your blog and am excited there will be more books soon!!
I love the book giveaways that way you are doing it! Keep it up because it is fun to read about the books (and win them too!) One idea would be maybe to have guest bloggers who could read the books for you and post on them to take some of the stress off of you!
As an avid reader I like the variety of books you blog about. I am glad you will be blogging more about books than personal issures. I am a Mom, but also my babies are 29 and 26, so I can relate but it's in the past for me.
I think that you sometimes give too much time to enter the giveaways. I like the idea of posting the winners in one blog, maybe even give it a specific day to make announcement, like every Thurs. or Fri. so we can be sure not to miss the info.
Keep up the good work. I don't enter the contests all the time but I have discovered some great books and writers from you blogs.
Thanks!
I lover your blog, although it's killing me that I haven't won a book yet!! :-)
Please keep the books coming!

I love the format of the blog. I also love the separate post showing the winners, I think it is easier than scrolling through all of the old ones. My only complaint is that you have introduced me to so many great authors, my "to read" list is getting ridiculously long! LeslieGC
