What Two Things?

Tukey likes to ask me questions. I like to answer them. One day, he asked, "If you could only have one kind of drink and one kind of food for the rest of your life, what would you choose?"

I asked him, "What would YOU choose?"

"Milk and buttered noodles with cheese and basil and seasoning."

Ajers said pears and diet green tea.

Diva said Domino's pizza and chocolate milk.

Diva's friend said steak and milk.

I would choose really, really, really cold ice water in a glass-glass (can't be a plastic cup) filled with store-bought ice to the top (if I was looking for the healthy option) or Diet Coke (in the same type of glass with the same type of ice) if I wasn't looking for the healthy option, but that would probably rot my guts out if it was for the rest of my life.

And for my food item: garlic, tomato and spinach stuffed pizza.

I just thought of something funny; an alternate title could have been Blood and Subway, cuz today I donated blood and ate Subway for lunch, but that's a little disgusting for my two choices, but maybe not for a vampire named Jared?

OK, your turn--beverage and ONE food item of choice?

diet coke and ice cream sundays, or diet coke and dorittos
or diet coke and pasta with pesto on it, if I had only one choice it wouldnt be healthy!

Oops, and I just added another paragraph toward the end of the post about Subway and Blood ... ewwwww.

The beverage would have to be Diet Coke. I could live without anything else, pretty much. One food? I could eat burritos on a daily basis, but probably not many people would want to be around me. Strike that...I think no one would want to be around me.
Ok, I'm changing to my favorite Subway sandwich. Six-inch club on honey oat bread, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, pickles, honey-mustard dressing, with salt and pepper. YUM.

Dude, Manic, you can't choose water in a situation like this!

Water because if I could never drink water, I'd always be thirsty.

Macaroni in Cheese (not the box kind).

Definitely iced tea and a turkey sub with everything.

Unsweetened Iced Tea (fresh-brewed, not instant) with ice up to the top of the glass and fettucini alfredo.

OK, I AM OFFICIALLY FREAKING STARVING NOW!

AND i am wondering how many of us are going to go out and get our craving food today?

also...

Monnik, when I read yours, when I read gutache ... I read it like this ... goo-tah-chay, and I actually said to myself, what is a goo-tah-chay? I am such a dork!

Like an attache case! Sounds like a french word!

I'm torn between cold water and diet coke, but I'm thinking the diet coke wins. And then... brazilian rice with tomatoes and feta cheese, I think.

And I had trouble reading "gutache" too. :)

AND, I think I'm going to end up wanting to eat not only my craving food, but everyone else's too. I bet I go to Subway tonight along with making all this other stuff. :)

Monnik said...

hee - it does look french. And I imagine it is I who's the dork since it's most likely two words, not one. :)

I think I'd take the rotted stomach over having to drink plain ice water for the rest of my life. Yuck! I'm so bad about drinking my water. That pizza sounds good though. Everyone else's choices sounded pretty disgusting. Milk and steak?

Coca Cola (ice cold in a bottle with a tall plastic glass of ice and a straw) and Pizza Hut Pizza (preferrably the personal pan size with pepperoni and black olives and breadsticks with sauce on the side).

Manic I am curious - how can you have diet green tea? There ain't no calories in green tea, you brew it and drink it without anything in it, where do the calories come into it?

Unknown said...

Sweet Iced Tea with a lemon wedge with those little balls of ice you get from Sonic!

Food? Hmmmm. Thinking of something I want to eat for the rest of my life? I guess Lasanga.

Amanda said...

PS It would have to be tea and toast and marmite - yes I am English to the core, and I'm off to boil the kettle!

Water with ice chips, you know, like the kind in birthing centers? And a big salad with grilled chicken, & ranch dressing.
Yum!

Rebecca - "drink: (good) pinot noir"

I just watched Sideways again the other day, and it made me think of Miles, who loved him some pinot.
"I'm not drinking any f**king Merlot!" lol

Ha hee! A vampire named Jared!

Mine would be OJ with lots of crunchy ice and really REALLY good steak.

Yoo Hoo and French Toast

Steph, can I go for pizza with you? That's my favorite and no one in my fam likes it!

But my drink.... cold, cold water.

And my food... sushi! I think. But stuffed pizza is tempting. And really good beef wellington (with spinach instead of mushroom duxelles). Can I have a buffet?

Cherry Coke Zero and Argentinian skirt steak. Yum-o.

Funny that you stopped by my blog today--stalking me, are you now? LOL--I was just thinking about calling you this afternoon! (but then the urge left me...ba dum bump!)

Seriously though, I got busy. I'll try to get wit'chu on the phone early next week!

Beverage: champagne (totally doable for breakfast, lunch or dinner)

Food: Oh I can't decide so many choices - chocolate, lemon tarts, chocolate, italian pasta salad, chocolate, eggs benedict, chocolate .....

Okay I'm lame.

VFTL said...

Oh Manic, I've been thinking about this for the past few days and I can't decide. What's even worse is that every time I read what everyone else wrote I change my mind!

My hubby votes for kobe steak cheeseburger with foie gras and black truffle oil (from Burger Bar in Las Vegas) and a cherry icee to wash it down.

Diet Coke and my mother's home made spinache raviolis...mmmmmm

I'm glad I'm not the only person who feels strongly about a glass glass. I do not like to drink out of plastic cups. They feel weird on your lips.
