THE ARRIVALS by Meg Mitchell Moore

Congrats to Lillian of Circus Toybox!
You have won The Arrivals!

Here’s a book that’s perfect for all the women in your life – your sister, your mother, your sister-in-law, yourself! The Arrivals hits upon the very touchy subject of what happens when family comes to visit and never leaves!

When Ginny and William’s three grown children (and their families) arrive home for different reasons and end up staying, the once empty-nesters truly realize the saying “once a parent, always a parent,” is a phrase that you must live by no matter the age of your children.

Back-of-the-book blurb:

It's early summer when Ginny and William's peaceful life in Burlington, Vermont, comes to an abrupt halt. First, their daughter Lillian arrives, two children in tow, to escape her crumbling marriage. Next, their son Stephen and his pregnant wife Jane show up for a weekend visit, which extends indefinitely.  When their youngest daughter Rachel appears, fleeing her difficult life in New York, Ginny and William find themselves consumed again by the chaos of parenthood—only this time around, their children are facing adult problems.  By summer's end, the family gains new ideas of loyalty and responsibility, exposing the challenges of surviving the modern family.

If you’d like to win The Arrivals, please leave a comment about the relative you’d most like to visit if you had to stay with someone for longer than a week! I’d probably choose my sister-in-law Jessica because she is an amazing cook, and also because she is about to have a newborn baby girl and I could take care of the baby and snuggle with her the whole time!

And next week, I will also be featuring Meg's brand-new book, SO FAR AWAY, so make sure to be here for that one too!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: THE MONTH OF JUNE IS A SPECIAL PROMOTIONAL MONTH AND ALL THE BOOKS AND ENTRIES WILL APPLY TOWARD A SPECIAL GRAND PRIZE CONTEST! All entries will count toward a grand prize contest at the end of June, so it’s best that you come back DAILY as the more you enter, the more chances you have to win the grand prize of pre-selected books at the end of the month!

As with all of the books I post on Booking with MaNiC, thanks to the authors and publicists for providing me with the books. Giveaways open to US/Canada residents only. To enter, leave an identifying unique user name or ID (NO anonymous will be accepted – leave an email address if you don’t know how to post to an account!

It's a toss-up! My mom always takes fantastic care of me when I visit but I would also love to stay with my very favourite brother and sister in law as well!!! Since they live about 10 minutes away from each other, maybe I could visit them both, LOL.

I would choose my bestest friend/adopted sister Laurie. It was amazing how our 2 families meshed and became one. We spent so much time together and had such great times. I would love to be able to spend time like that with her again and catch up on all the years since. Love you Laurie!

Can I choose none? sorry I'm in a horrible mood and it's only 7:50am :(

OMG First of all let me just say this is the life I live currently. Had to move back home with the parents & boyfriend. But already there was my sister, her husband, her 2 kids (1 full time & 1 gone every other weekend) & his daughter (every other weekend), my brother & his youngest daughter every other week as well as his older daughter every other weekend, plus 2 dogs & 3 fish.

I would love to go "visit" my godmother for more than a week. :) She's got the quietest house of everyone I know!

I am going to have to get this for my mother! My brother and his family have been living with my parents for the last two months while they buy a house in the area. This might hit a little close to home! If I had to visit family for more than a week, ironically, it would be my brother and his wife (and my sweet nephew). I just truly enjoy their company and it seems like every minute spent with them is filled with laughter!
