Slave -

I am

A slave
to the questions I
cannot ask

A whore
to the
questions I
cannot answer

A muted child shunned
into silence...

the questions
I do not know.

And a criminal
to the questions

I know but
cannot
tell.

Don't tell Kari, but you are still my hero.

You are one mysterious woman, Steph. ;-)

Hope you're well!!! I've been thinking of you & Swish lately.

Wow, Manic - going deep today! Is this the product of hours of introspection, or an unexpected burst of poetic creativity?

It's never dull here at Triple-M! That's what keeps us coming back :)

Don't worry about it Manic. (Kari, don't believe everything that you read. You are so my hero.)

Jess--hey, we're good--are you on AIM? We'll have to have a three-way... (Chat, that is!)...

Trish--Very deep. I don't know how it came about. I was sitting with Tukey and felt like a slave for a moment, and this is what I came up with.

Drew--can't you have two heroes?

Two Roads--Thank you very much! I don't think there's any point to it though, just something that came into my brain.

RR--You know the address baby doll! Ha, just kidding. DO NOT SEND Tim Tams! I've not been happy with my weight AT ALL LATELY!

Manic- fashionable, witty and deep? Man you have everything.

I heard that, Drew;)) I say we just make Drew our hero, Manic! That works for me.

Kari--that's a tough one, cuz while I heart Drew, in a friendly, blogosphere way, of course, I also want (again, in a friendly blogosphere way, of course!) hotwire, rmartini (who is ONCE AGAIN MIA), and the newly resurrected Dustin) for my Blog Heroes.

I think we might need to hold a Hero Contest with these contenders, huh?

Eileen, still missing that amazing agent who's going to bring me to stardom like you, Jess, Kari, and Trish Ryan, all of you agented/published/sold authors you!

Hell, now that I think about it, screw the men (in a friendly blogosphere kind of way), all you women are my heroes! Heriones, you know what I mean!

Oh, and kiss-kiss to Swish-Swish!

Why don't we just stop all this bickering about who is the hero and pick me?

Everyone, thanks for your nice comments and your thoughts. Everything is FINE! Whenever I write a poem, it just stems from a fleeting thought and I HAVE to write it down immediately, and then whatever flows next I just write down, whether it's sad, corny, gloomy, provoking.

So, things are good, except I have to go to a homecoming college football game from whence I graduated (ha, see corny talk), and it's freaking gloomy weather, and I feel/look like shit and I'll probably run into those old crushes I had!
