Weight Watchers

I weighed in on Monday, June 18, having come off a 10-day vacation-eating-and-drinking binge. I counted points and worked out and behaved. Today I weighed in, which is 12 days back on the program.

When I weighed in that Monday, I did not look at my weight in the book.

When I weighed in today, I told her, "I do not want to know what I weigh. I do not want to look at the book. I just want to know how much I've lost."

Five-point-two.

5.2 pounds

Five packages of four sticks of butter, plus a tablespoon or two.

Twenty Quarter-Pounders.

That's how much I lost.

I am so glad. My pants were waaaaay too tight. They still are tight, but not as much as before. Whew.

Now, I just have to get through another weekend. Weekends are the toughest part. If I only lived Monday through Thursday, heck, I would be a freaking stick! But life would be pretty boring with no Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, don't ya think?

I know... the weekends are the worst for healthy eating for me too!! ;) But better to have the fun drinks and food than not, right?! Life would be too dull without sweets.. :)

Whoo hoo!!! I'd pick beer over food any day.

There's a meal in every can.

Congrats! Good for you! And the science teacher in me wants to say that's actually much closer to twenty-one quarter pounders.

I'm lucky to (still) have a moderately fast metabolism and the freedom to just spend hours at the gym if I want... but, I still say eating is worth way more than being thin. Plus, I am a big ol' biotch when I don't eat. And being a b is not good for getting a handful of nuts. ;)

Hey, thanks to you, my birthday dinner last night was sushi... and a handful of nuts. The literal kind. Hubby came home today and made up for missing my actual bday. I told him we need to observe the octave like your fam!

Congrats!!! That's great!!

I started W.W. (for the thousanth time) three weeks ago. I lost 6.5 pounds in the first two weeks. This past week my daughter and I have been everywhere - including two days in New York City. Um, yeah. There's no counting points in the Big Apple. So my big hope is that when I weight on Monday I won't have gained anything back. I'm hoping as much walking as we did that counteracted all the delicious cheesecakes and White Chocolate Mochas and the margarita and, well, the list is pretty endless.

Desiree--It is so hard during the weekends to not indulge! But, looks like I'm getting through Friday night OK so far!

Colorado--I don't know if I'd choose beer over like Alaskan king crab legs!

Kate--Did you actually say something like, "Manic Mom says to celebrate the octave?" That is hilarious. And happy b'day by the way! Glad you celebrated with some nuts! Ha!

Jenster--let's keep tabs on one another for the WW. I HAVE to get back to where I was. I bet NYC was a blast!

YES! The weekends are the most challenging ever!
I try my best to eat healthy during the week, because I know that I will give in to temptation on the weekends ;)
My babe and I love to dine out and have lots of drinks on the weekends... many appletinis for me :)

You are an inspiration---a hero! :-) I can't seem to get rid of one stick of butter. Maybe it's the coconut sorbet I've discovered at Trader Joe's.....

I finally signed up for Feedburner and, of course, I'm tracking you!

appletini--thanks! I can't decide what I'm going to drink tonight. I think I have to stay away from the appletinis. Damn, I wish I liked beer and could handle it. Might have to be vodka for me tonight. Or uh, diet coke with malibu rum! And lemon! Those are good!

Cmommy--OK, I have to tell you I have NEVER EVER gone inside a Trader Joe's for that very reason--I am too scared I will fall in love with every food item they have--they have such fun foods! It's like when you're an alcoholic and you know you cannot go into a liquor store ever--that's me when it comes to Trader Joe's!

Oh cmommy--what the heck is feedburner?!?! Tell me more!

Swish--THANKS Babe! I'm scared for tonight though, that I will eat and drink way more than five pounds worth!

Colorado--Yeah, crab is like hardly any points. Except when you submerge each piece in sticks of butter!!!

1 plus twins--I hope I can keep it up. Willpower is all well and good the first week or so!

Spray some of that fake butter on it...and eat a head of iceberg lettuce for a snack.

OK Colorado--Ewww on the iceberg.
