In particularly, the Ramblin' kind.
Ramblin' Rose rocks!
You may remember a previous post where RR and I discussed our favorite treats and we decided to do a blog-trade. Over the summer, she sent me Tim Tams, which are a delectable chocolately cookie-candy bar, much like a Twix but thousands times better. I sent RR a package with a variety of Reese's since she can't get them in Australia.
Well, I got an early Christmas present today! Ramblin' Rose sent me THREE packages of Tim Tams, chocolate, caramel and latte flavored! Ajers saw the container and grabbed at the package immediately but I yelled:
NO!
There's no way I'm letting him at that package because then there will be NONE left for me.
I also hate RR right now because I am seriously, seriously trying to diet because we are going to Cabo (as in Mexico) in February. That's in eight weeks to be exact. If I don't lose some of this flab, they're going to harpoon me when I get on the beach! So, I love her, I hate her. I can't live without her!
THANK YOU RAMBLIN' ROSE!

You've got to eat those tim tams so that they are out of the way! Otherwise they will be calling to you..."manic, maaanic come eeaat us".
just don't get chocolate on the keyboard.
Oh, tim tams sound sooo good. And I hear you on the diet. I am going to disney in February with my family and my sister's family. We're staying at a resort with 7 pools, poolside bar, etc. November was scary enough wearing a bathing suit, but it was a retirement community. This will NOT be a retirement crowd in February. No more chocolate for me!!!!
Rose rocks the house!!!!
I seriously doubt you need to diet.... and I'd thought you needed some Tim Tam cheer!!! Now its time to slam them... bite ends off of tim tam dunk into fave hot drink and suck fast... now you've just slammed....
:) Thanks for the Compliment... glad you liked them... Happy Holidays...
YOU DON'T HAVE ANY FLAB!
Put one in the freezer for me :)
I love Tim Tams, too. I get a few boxed every time I'm Sydney.
I've had Tim Tams. They are 'the bomb'. I could go some right now. Wonderful comfort food
I am a mint slice girl myself but would happily eat Tim Tams.
I have to get me some of these damn Tim Tams everyone talks about!
OMG I just read your last post, which I missed somehow. Your husband is awesome! Love that picture. Mine leaves me secret little sticky notes where he knows I'll find them, and calls instead of emailing. Don't you just love that. They sound a lot alike. Then again, our whole lives sound a lot alike;))))
Diets - pretzels and diet coke for like a month. Yep.
My friend is going to Cabo next week. It's beautiful. She sent me pictures of where she's staying and I hate her. Well, not literally, but she didn't need to send them.
So far, I am terrified to open the package, knowing for sure they will not withstand the air for very long!
Swish, I vow to you I will save you at least one flavor of each!
KissMeKate--what are mint slices??? Like the Girl Scout cookies? I am a huge mint fan!
Beth, if you want some Tim Tams, you either need to befriend someone from Australia, or click on that Tim Tam link in my WHY I LOVE ROSES post and I believe I put the phone number of the place in the US where you can order some!
Kari--LOL at our lives being alike... you have a few more things than I do--one extra kid, and one extra agent! LOLOLOL!!!
Jen-T--hey, thanks for stopping by! But did you know I stopped drinking Diet Coke!?!!? But pretzels AND Tim Tams together sound pretty darn good!
Phew! I'm finally caught up.
And, by the way - I did check to see if you responded to my recent comment on your post from way-back.
It was sweet of you to respond.
I hope that you are having a beautiful Monday. That you had plenty of snuggle time, and a Divalicious Diva instead of a Devilish one.
Aw, Ania, thank you! Same to you, and I can't believe you read the WHOLE thing?!?!!?
Thanks!
Other Australian goodies-If you like red licorice try the original Australian Licorce. I'm in love...
You can get it at World Market, yet to see Tim Tams there but they do have a great selection of stuff.
I would argue that calories expended keeping the kids out of the tim-tams will more than account for whatever calories you consume eating them. But then again, I'm out here in New England in a thick wool sweater.
Never fear - You'll look fab in Cabo!
Hmmm...not only do they sound delightful, but they have a very fun name: Tim Tams!
My advice is to eat and enjoy them all, then log extra time at the gym to work them off. (I didn't say it was a good idea. ;)
Well, I did skip some of the racier ones. And some of the inebriated ones, because I feared that they would morph in to racy ones.
But, other than that, yup, the whole thing!
None are really THAT racy. My mom reads this blog! But let me tell you, if she didn't... whoa... this would be a whole lot more exciting! LOL.
Yes, Eileen, among other things! ; )
I totally understand. I am trying to reach my goal by 12/31 and it seems that everyone keep sdropping off cookies and fudge. I don't want to take them, but what do you do? Back in the day, I would just take them to work and share .. well since there is no *work* now, I don't know what to do w/the stuff.
Good luck, but you still gotta love Rose, cause her heart is sooo good~!
ooh, how exciting! I'm glad you got to try the latte ones, cos I remember eating them while I was reading the posts last time about RR's special Tim Tam package. Did you like? I think I still like chewy caramel best, but latte comes in a close second!
