You Tell Me What Happened!

Tell me the story of the Swishy/Manic evening and I'll give a prize (treats, gift card, CD--you can choose the music from my iTunes library!, and some other fun stuff probably) to the most hilariously accurately outrageously funniest entry! Here are photos in sequential order of our evening! Go to it, get creative, but keep in mind how we roll! ; )

Ok, I am WAY too tired to come up with the full story tonight, but I'll think on it. Oh, and I LOVE those slippers and need some. (Really, I have no slippers and hardwood floors in Chicago. Think about it. Where did you get such adorable slippers?)

The slippers are aromatherapy slippers -- peppermint to energize and something or the other. They have a ton of varieties--sandalwood, lavendar, green tea, tea rose, vanilla, and they were all so cute--$14!!! At MACY's! I tried to look them up but cannot find them on the Macy's website!

Never! (insert evil laugh). LOL. Although she is pretty.

I was just curious after reading her blog and her story about buying the car, what she ended up with. And now we know. Nice wheels. Hope you had a good weekend. By the looks of things, you did.

Swishy pulls up half an hour late, (because the line at the drive through Starbucks was riDICulously long...damn those pumpkin lattes) but excited to see Manic!
Manic has been waiting with her bag packed on the curb and jumps in before the car comes to a full and complete stop. OFF THEY GO!
A little, okay A LOT, hungry, the gals stop for a bite at a dive pizza/sandwhich joint. The servers behind the counter laughed at Manic and Swishy's sophmoric antics, but join in the fun. By pointing out the fact that there wasn't a salad in sight, Swishy caught the eye of the owner. Joe Schmoe...this Joe Scmoe is looking for love....wooking for nub in all the wong pwaces, wooking for nub. Glad to see their boss is distracted by Swishy's Sexiness, the servers throw in some free buffalo wings, sauce & garlic bread, and salt n vinegar chips. Manic senses Swishy is in immediate danger of a bad pass from Joe Schmoe, the gals continue on their adventure. They end up meeting some old friends at a local watering hole. After some, a few, MANY beverages of the alcoholic sort they get talked into a bad karaoke night. The only song they all know, YMCA. Needing more beverages to get through the rest of karaoke night, they order dinner and drinks. Swishy again impresses the staff and they demand pics with her. Manic obliges. The skelton ring was the first place prize in the singing contest. Back in their hotel room, safe from karaoke cruising, the gals attempt to block from their memories the YMCA debacle with Captain and Diet Coke. Sensing the need for sustainance, Swishy breaks open the goody bags. WAHOO! The perfect prop to go with their Captain poses, fuzzy slippers. Only in their attempt to stand on one leg and get a picture of the Captain Morgan pose, the girls end up on the floor, feet in the air. Hence the picture of just the fuzzy feet...it was a fuzzy kinda night. The next morning, the only thing that sounds good for the hangover cure is Twinkies and Godiva...is there a better cure? After loading up with coffee and a quick Macy's visit, the gals head home. At the Manic house the gals try to be brave about the last Swishy Hooray and end up giggling about their silliness. Meanwhile Diva thinks,'Is this silliness hereditary? I hope so!'

Wow...much longer than I thought, but hopefully funny!

Here's what I know for sure...

Swishy showed up in her new car to your house. You drove down to the city to have dinner at Costello's on Lincoln Avenue. There you met Senor Beavis. Then you went to a book signing that was not at the YMCA. You drank some fun looking drinks. After the night was over, you stayed at the Hyatt on Wacker by the river. It is sad that I've stayed at so many hotels in my fair city that I can tell the hotel by the bedding.

Looks like you had a great time! Sorry I missed it!

Thanks Swishy, thanks Manic!!!
I could just picture my girlfriend and I in a similiar photo essay. And I just wrote what we would be doing...but the drinks in my land are a nice bottle of Cabernet. Or mojitos. Or margaritas. Or lychee martinis. Or...yeah...there are just too many to pick!
