Reader Favor?

Hey all! I'm updating my Web page and wonder if you'd be so kind to leave me a 'quote' on why you come to Manic Mom to read the crap I write... if you have something witty to say, and wouldn't mind me sharing it on my Web page, please either email it to me (along with your name, and how long you've been reading), or go ahead and leave it on the comments.

Thanks! I'd really appreciate it!

Witty I cannot do, sorry, but I can tell you stuff about me and your blog, sorta. See, a wee while ago I kinda got addicted to blogs, couldn't get enough of them, always reading through them, clicking on link after link after link, I'm not even sure how I got to yours! But I did. Then after a while I got over the craze and settled on just a few favourites, the ones I really clicked with, cos there were a lot I read that I just wasn't into. Nothing personal against them, their style just wasn't me. Now it gets tricky, I'm not sure why I stuck with yours, but I guess it's just cos you're a great writer and have lotsa funny stories to tell (it's late and my brain is fried, so I can't think of an example right this minute!). Oh and you told me about Emily Giffin's books, and they were cool :) And now that I found the chick lit section in the library, I can't get enough of it! hahaha, anyways, hope that helps our with your request :)

I read you because I'm a mom and I can relate! Plus, other people's lives are interesting!

Because "Manics Must Commiserate." I've actually called myself a predictable manic, but isn't that an oxymoron. I don't even know how I came to read your blog. But I do know that my story is almost the same as Nicola's. I just ended up here somehow.

I read Manic Mom everyday so I can know my sister! We live very far apart and have busy, busy lives, so it is a great way for me to “keep up” with her and her families happenings! We will talk on the phone and then I'll read her blog the next day, and sometimes, there is a "little incling" of what we talked about! I anxiously await the next post from day to day, and have Manic Mom saved as one of my "favorites!" My sister is extremely talented and creative and for any agents out there who might be reading this.....you are missing out on a great opportunity to work with my sister.

Ah, thank you guys! I can't believe my sister has outted herself! I had no idea, absolutely NO IDEA she reads daily! Wow!

And "Plaid skirt and notes"... is this our friends with the bagpipes???

RR--Manic Is fat free! (Well, reading her is; she's not though!)

Everytime you come on and mention Tim Tams I get a craving!

omgosh, hotwire just said what I was going to say! He actually looks like someone I knew in college.

I 'asked' Blogger to find blogs by "mom"s and you were my third find. Has a year really passed since then? Yes, and you are still on my links list, still my Starbucks pal, still the writer of the novel-I-can't-wait-to-own, and I still need to try an appletini.

There you go! :-)Chrissy

I came here after reading your story over at Karyn's... you've cracked me up ever since!

I started reading because I'm a manic mommy-to-be. I continue to read because your posts make me laugh, give me things to look forward to, and help let me know that I am capable of doing this parenting thing.

I'm also envious of your writing ability.

I found your blog when I was poking google groups looking for bloggers who went to my high school. Which you did. Momentarily. And while you didn't actually get the whole 4 years' worth of panache-development and the primative cool that long term exposure to the Academy generally develops, you've done pretty well on your own. I keep reading because you crack me up.

I came across your blog after stalking writers who made comments on either Evil Editor, Miss Snark, or some other writer's forum (I don't know which because I read all of them, which wastes my precious writing time), and now I must read your stuff every few days because it is hilarious. I totally relate because I am also 37, have 3 kids, am trying to get published and love Target and Starbucks.
