You Know What?

THIS, THIS and THIS is kind of disturbing. What is also disturbing is that the first site I found, I scrolled through every single photo (ironically there are 69 of them)!

Even MORE so disturbing is there are no fat people depicted. (Addendum five minutes later: Fat people found.)

What do you guys think of this? Art? Or just an excuse to get nekkid in pubic? I'm not sure what I think of it. I am pretty positive though, that I would not volunteer this bod up for one of his photo shoots. I think it would take a pretty (pick one of the following:
a. Self-confident
b. Wasted
c. Lonely
d. All of the above)

type of person to actually WANT to do this. Or am I wrong? How many of YOU would do this?

PS--also, how many of you skipped right past my pun?

I would NEVER skip past such a pun! HA!

The most exhibitionist I get is walking around the apartment half-naked with the blinds open. But I'm pretty sure no one can see. At least I don't think so ...

OMG I could never do that. Guess I'm too vain. Now maybe if I didn't have stretch marks and cellulite....hmmm, nope, still not even then.

Yet I had to look at all of them. what does that say about me? That's why I'm fascinated with reality TV. I love trying to figure out what makes people tick and why they do what they do.

Who wants to be the lone hairy guy in a sea of smooth skinned people. Not me, so put me in the non-volunteer list.

So are state appointed lawyers considered pubic defenders?

The naked bunch...what if you had to pass gas with your ass pointing in the of some fellow-naked-poser?

No thanks. That's just not my kind of party...what fun is it to have your picture taken if you can't buy a new outfit? :) Before all of the magazine technology and airbrushing, we seemed to "get it" more as a society - veeeerrrry few of us look better without clothes on!

Sheesh!
No thanks...

Honey, at my age - why not! Anyone who wants to see my wrinkles and cellulite can only be doing it for artistic purposes at this point so they deserve the privilege.

Face it, NO ONE looks good naked. Even cover girls are basic when naked...boobs and bush; ho hum. It's the tease of what's under the clothes that makes it fascinating. For guys, same thing. A ding-ding...ho-hum. Would I do it though, no. But, Europeans are more real about the whole body and nakedness thing. I remember a couple in like their 70's on the beach in Greece. He wore speedos and she had a bikini bottom only. No worries. Americans gawk and stare. Europeans are casual about it. It's like the book "Everyone Poops." Everyone has private parts. So what.

nekkid in pubic

LOL! (I'm guess this was your pun)?

Got that pun, girl, right off the bat!

All I can say about the sites is: Ewww. And my question is, why?

Weird photos. Art? I don't know. One person's art is another's Bob Ross painting. Naked in my 20's? Yes. Now? Not a chance.

68 is doin' it with socks on.

No way! Knowing my luck I would be between a stinky butt, stinky feet, and B.O. Although I could ignore the pubic smells if someone payed me 1 million dollars to do it.

Nope. Never. No Way!
Heck, I don't even get completely nekkid in front of Mr. Farmer!

Ah yes, modern art.

Don't get it.

Probably never will.

I thought "Naked America" was pretty cool and he shot some very real looking people (same artist? I didn't look through the site). I would be flattered and it would be fun to be so counter-cultural mores.

And yes, you're one punny woman.

It would be art if there was a message. If there was some correlation between the naked people and the setting but as far as I can see there isn't one. This artist gets himself in the press over here quite a bit but I am sure this is purely because of the nudity not because of his artistic talent (if he has one). OK so if he is trying to make a statement about the freedom to be naked in public it's wearing a bit thin because it's now become boring and bland.
Good to see you are feeling better. I hate it when Paul works away which is not that often thankfully.

you know what. I saw a documentary on this artist on HBO. I have to say, I might take part in something like this... even though I have had 3 children and my body isn't perfect. Because honestly, there aren't ALL perfect people in the photos and its tastefully done so its not porn..... I think somehow its oddly beautiful.

It's so good to hear everyone's opinions, and Angelena and Sally, yours were very interesting and different from one another!

There were a few of the photos that I did think were beautiful, like when the bodies were lined up to create something more. I didn't particulary enjoy the ones where they are all just lying around looking dead--reminded me of concentration camps kind of.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts on the subject!
