The Unexpected Present!

Before I tell you about "The Unexpected Present" for those of you who won prizes in the Manic Mommy Blog for Blood Virtual Blood Drive, these prizes will be going out in the mail THIS WEEK. Also, Bina and Jess, your signed books, Unpredictable, and Sleeping with Ward Cleaver, will also go out this week too!

Thanks for your patience!

You may also continue to cast your vote for The Opposite of Love contest until midnight Thursday. This means when I wake up on Friday morning, the contest is OVER so if you don't have your entry in to Julie by then, well, then you don't get your chance to win her debut novel! What's the Opposite of Love in five words or less? Contest details are here!

Now, back to our regularly scheduled blog post:

So, every Blogger needs a good stalker*, right?

Remember this:
Stalkerazzi

Or perhaps you're more familiar with this:
Stalkerazzi Part II?

If not, maybe this will jog your memory?
Stalkerazzi Part III and the Pink Jacket at Panera

Well, a package arrived today!

Whatever Could This Be?

A Package from Stalker Melisa Wells?

Let's Open It Up!

Are you kidding me? It can't be?

It is!

My Very Own Tiara!

And Melisa had no idea it had been eight weeks since I last donated blood and when I received her gift in the mail today, I had just gotten home from donating blood again!

How was I to know today when I got dressed and put on this shirt that it really would be MY DAY?

Diva begged me to let her try it on too, after she ate some chocolate pudding:

We Princesses gotta stick together!

THANKS MELISA!

*Disclaimer: Melisa is in no way a real-life stalker, she just plays one on the Internet!

You gotta love a good stalker, especially when she gives you a tiara! Tres chic!

Sue--LOVE what you wrote--how funny we both blogged about stalking today!

Jules! I sooo know she married the boy she stalked. Wonder what she's gonna make ME do!!!

Lily--hey there! Your books are a-comin'!!!! : ) I love my tiara! Wore it all day long. It belongs on my head! Maybe cuz I wear sunglasses on the top of my head all the time, it seems just natural to have something plopped up there on top--you know, diamonds...

Manic: Thanks for putting the disclaimer on there...hee hee

Jules: Shhhh! Oh wait, never mind. Everyone knows that.

Manic: Don't worry, I'm not looking for an extra spouse. Maybe just a lunch companion in a few weeks though. LOL

I laughed out loud at this. You crack me up. And I love that green marker drawing of the bunny.

LOVE the tiara! It fits you perfect. hehe

Never mind the tiara where did you get the t-shirt?? I WANT ONE!!

Tiara is very Manic though, good choice Melisa.

Jess--Diva added the drawing of the dead bunny--isn't it adorable!!!

Kelli--thanks! You can borrow my tiara if you want, but it'll cost you!

Amanda--I got the shirt at my health club. I bet they sell 'em on line. I'll check and see who makes 'em... some chick named Jenny J something or the other... Or maybe I should just hold a contest and give one away!!!!

Perhaps I should dig out my tiara from the 1998 Homecoming Court(yes, don't make fun of me) and wear it around my house while I'm playing supermom!

Every girl needs a tiara!! At least you have a stalker with good taste.

I have a tiara, I always wear it on my birthday (I figure its the only day I can get away with it).

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

I think I'm going to wear mine every day and just pretend it's my birthday every day, even though it really is next month!

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

But good idea Tanya! I gave Diva one for her fifth birthday--it lights up and everything!!! And has pink feathery things on it!

YAY! Another Manic Mommy contest!

Can I win this time? Can I? PLEEEASE!!

ORION said...

I am like SO BUMMED...
A tiara.
I want one.
Bad.
Think how cool it will look on my head sailing.
I wonder if it would stay on?

Drewpy Drew said...

How do you know she didn't take the tiara off the head of a dead bunny? It could happen.

I think you should wear it for your next drivers licence picture. Then you would be queen of the road.

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Orion--YOU sooo need a tiara for your boat!!! And then you could be like in Titanic--KING OF THE WORLD, except you would be QUEEN of the world!

And Drewpy--I think you're on to something! And my next driver's license photo opp is when I turn 40, and that's on 4-14-2009 and I think I may just have to wear it for that photo FOR REALS and then I will test my skills as a driver ALL THE TIME and WANT TO GET PULLED OVER, DARE TO GET PULLED OVER just so a cop can get a load of my driver's license photo with me wearing the tiara. I BEG a cop to give me a ticket when he sees a photo like that!!!
Bwhahahahahaahahahahha!

LOVE IT!

I want a stalker!!!!!

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

I know Robin, did I luck out or what? I think I need a bumper sticker that says, "I HEART MY STALKER!"

[kiss kiss Melisa!]

I can't wait till someone stalks me (and sends me a tiara).

And to answer your question, yes, I merely googled "donate blood" and "blog" and, lo!, there was Manic Mommy. I've just started but it looks like your blog is doing really well!

I'll be watching (not stalking) to see what kind of lessons I can learn!

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Jim Cooney--first of all, your name just reminds me of George Clooney. Sorry, it just does... and if you get a stalker who sends you a tiara, well, then that's just really, really weird!

Ooooo I LOVE the idea of the tiara on the DL picture. I wonder if they'll be nice and let you do it or be sticks in the mud. Remember that one!

And, Manic, I'm bummed! I thought you were going to donate on 2/29. I thought that was so cool to donate on Leap Day. Not that *I* could be that cool -- my next donate date is this Sat and I obviously needed to plan further in advance to be eligible on Leap Day ;)

Manic: NOW you're throwing me kisses? I feel like this is some kind of plot to a bad horror movie. LOL

Question: If Swishy is your BBFF, can I be your BSFF? ROFL!

Robin: Where do you live? Bwahahahaha! JUST KIDDING!

Lisa said...

Freaking awesome!! I LOVE that you included all those pictures in your post. Nice tiara BTW!

Mary said...

Manic.... I really need some of your chutzpah!!!

I have to have blood drawn on Friday and I'm freaking out! Shaking in my boots! I usually either pass out or have a panic attack at the sight of a needle. I'm totally phobic.

Please come hold my hand!!!!!!!

Moll said...

God, don't you just LOVE when mail gets exciting? That's why I slut out for magazine subscriptions.

Oh, and I meant to ask... who took the great pics of you for the blog? They crack me up -- and rock besides!

Michelle

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Mary, I know you live in California, and since I live in crappy cold-weather Chicago, I think the only fair and kind thing to do would be for me to hop on a plane and come and hold your hand for your Friday blood drawing... so I've called a taxi and made a plane reservation. Can you pick me up at the airport???

Good luck when you get your blood drawn. Just don't look at the needle, and hopefully you'll get a cute blood drawer, like I did that one time I posted about when I had to have blood taken (and not for a blood donation--he was a hottie!)

Michelle--Diva took the pics BEFORE she ate all that chocolate pudding. I was opening the present and then stopped midway through thinking, "hmmm, this has blog photo potential! Diva, get the camera!!!"

Every princess needs a tiara. Clearly your stalker knows that.

Mary said...

Love your tiara! I'll be wearing mine when I pick you up at the airport - that way you'll know it's me.

What time does your flight get in?

Everyone should have their very own crown. And, their very own stalker. This I believe . . .
