Manic Mom Music Contest

A contest for you

If you want to win music

Comment... qualify

OK, remember when you all gave some rockin' music suggestions
here?

Well, I've come up with my list of iTunes and this is what I've chosen:

A Letter to Elise, The Cure
Abacab, Genesis
The Sweet Escape, Gwen Steffani
Slide, Goo Goo Dolls
The Middle, Jimmy Eat World
She Will Be Loved, Maroon 5
Say It Right, Nelly Furtado
De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da (Live), The Police
Lovesong, The Cure
Synchronicity, The Police
Fidelity, Regina Spektor
Fix You Up, Tegan and Sara
This Is The Day, The The
Ice Ice Baby, Vanilla Ice
Baba O’Riley, The Who

Kinda whacky huh? Kinda nerdy huh? Well, that's me, and these are the songs I wanted.

If you want a copy of this Manic Mom Volume I CD, leave a comment to qualify. I'll award three CDs, and you can choose your own mix from Manic's iTunes library if you don't want these songs. Seriously, I've got some better tunes, and some dorkier ones as well... something's in there to fit everyone's taste, unless you're a "Metallica-Scorpion-White Snake-Yanni-Celine Dion" kinda listener, then you might not want to waste your time.

So, leave a comment, and I'll choose three winners randomly. Comments will close and winner will be chosen after 60 comments, and please, you can only comment once.

Free music! What could be better!? Maybe some chocolate thrown in too?

I have "Ice Ice Baby" as a ring tone to signal my hubby calling my cell...since he is listed on my cell as ICE (In Case of Emergency) contact-- it seemed fitting.

Good songs. The Cure always reminds me of an old boyfriend. The one who broke my heart. Wah!

That is such a random list! LOL. But fun!!!!

And YEAH! Tegan and Sara rocks!

Monnik said...

Cool! Is it REALLY a random drawing or do the winners have to write a witty comment? Cuz I suck at wit under pressure. :D

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Monnik--nothing witty needed to qualify!!

: )

No Whitesnake? Rats!

Kidding, of course. And you have 'eggs'cellent taste in music, my dear. (That was my nod to Easter.)

Darling Jess, it's not RATS, it's RATT, and I don't have any of their music either!!

Yay, I didn't miss the contest. I'm such a bad blogger lately. Don't know how you keep up with it all and still find time to write.

Anyway, I love music. Good choices.

You have the craziest selection I have ever seen! How fun for you!

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Well, you're all in the running for the music... And if you don't like this selection, there are lots more to choose from... Barry Manilow, Bee Gees, A little Neil Diamond...

What a cool electic list of music! LOVE it! I remember dancing with a hair brush "mic" to Ice Ice Baby WAY back when! Great times.

I'm not too late, am I? I hope not bcuz I seriously want the first ever Manic Mix!! I want a little bit of Barry in my mix though. See how confidant I am about my future win? Do multiple comments count, or are they against the rules?
Oh... And does it make any difference that I've been reading your blog for over a year and a HALF now...?

Rusty Nails said...

I'm just here for the music. No, really, I like reading your posts too. You are a person of my generation with similar taste in music. Score! I wanna win! I wanna win!

Drewpy Drew said...

Under no circumstances send me a copy.

The Cure? Please. The only good thing they did was "The love cats".

Where's The Beatles? Where's The Eagles?

And no Jimmy Buffett?

Girl, we need to talk.

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Drew, i am probably the only person in the world who hates the Beatles.

Sorry, and I hope you don't win either! : )

The Police are a three-piece rock band consisting of bassist/lead vocalist Sting (Gordon Sumner), guitarist Andy Summers, and drummer Stewart Copeland. The band became globally popular in the early 1980s, playing a style of rock that was influenced by jazz, reggae, and punk music. Their 1983 album Synchronicity was number one in the UK and the US and went Platinum eight times in the US. The band broke up in the mid-1980s, sportsbook, but reunited in early 2007 with the announcement that they are undertaking a world tour from the middle of that year on until mid-2008, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their hit single "Roxanne" and also, to a lesser extent, that of their formation as a group. http://www.enterbet.com
