Repeat

You may have seen this video before but it's my baby. He is starting first grade one week from tomorrow! In one week I will be a chicken whose coop has flown! I will have my days all alone. No one here. At all. I asked Tukey over the weekend, "How do you feel about starting first grade?"

"Mom, I've done this like five times already. Like when I started at Joy Bell. That was one. Then we moved here and I went to Trinity. Then the next year I went to Trinity again, then I went to Trinity for preschool a third year. Then last year I went to kindergarten. So this will be like my fifth time of going to school."

He's like "DUH" like it's no big deal to him.

But it might be to me.

So, here's his cute video of him losing his first tooth.

My wittle baby. All gwowed up.

My baby girl will be headed off to First Grade in a couple of weeks, too. I am not ready for that first day where I walk her into the building, kiss her goodbye for the day and then go sit in my car for a half hour bawling...

...of course, she was in all day kindergarten and I have a full-time job to go to everyday so this won't be the first time to drop her off for school all day. I'm just a big baby about my baby growing up!!!

I'm I the only mother who did a happy dance when my son started school? It's been 34 years but I still remember all the steps.
Bad mommy. BAD BAD MOMMY.

As you may or may not know, I have four kids. I never cried when one started kindergarden, but yesterday, when I took Ariana to school and walked her to class, took pictures, etc, I left with tears running down my face. The last of my babies. And I'm not having any more, and it just seemed so final, ya know?

I sent my middle kid on the bus yesterday to first grade and he didn't even WAVE at me from inside the bus.

I dropped off the 3 year old at his first day of preschool and he didn't even care that I left him.

My junior in high school rolled his eyes when I took the obligatory first day photo.

*sniff*

You'll get over it really fast when the freedom kicks in - then you'll be saying "where did the day go? Is it school run time already?"

It's s new beginning for you and him. Embrace it, love it and share what you did without him.

Awww, I feel your pain. My youngest just started all day K, and I'm actually changing shifts on my job to days so I'll be home in the evenings now. The first two weeks were so hard, because working in the evenings, I never saw her. I'm going to days August 25th after working swing shift for 4 years. It's going to be ... interesting.

LMAO "I puked"

That was great!

My oldest goes into first grade and my youngest into all day kindergarten on Monday! All alone all day, what will I do with myself? I think I'll sleep for the first week then move on to bigger and better things....like cleaning. Maybe by January I'll be ready to get a job. Or not..

I'm sad about them growing up and I miss them so much when they are at school but I spend half my time there anyway so I'm goood!

You are so lucky. I have six more years to go then all my kids will be in school full day. By then I will be an old lady.

Big Cubby is starting first grade. We both need this break from each other.

Excellent video!
Tukey is so cute.

Our family is so about the puke that our new puppy even pukes. She fits right in.

We just don't eat ours.
