Fall Fab Book Winners, But Still GRAND PRIZE AWAITS!

Hey everybody! I've just listed the final winners for the last six books and your name could be one of the winners! So check back and see if you've won any of the previous books that were featured. They were:

MICE

MISTRESS'S REVENGE

COUNTERFEIT FARM GIRL

THE VERY THOUGHT OF YOU

PARTY

THINGS WE DIDN'T SAY

Your name could be on one of those books. BUT, if it's NOT on one of those books and you left comments on any of the books during the Fall Fab Giveaway, STAY TUNED! Because YOU ARE ENTERED to possibly win ALL OF THE BOOKS that were featured during September, October and the beginning of November here on MaNiC MoMMy! Yes, even if you only had a chance to comment on one or two or three books, you still have the chance to win all 26 of the books that were featured!

Within the next week or so, DEFINITELY before Thanksgiving, I will be making the announcement of who has won all of the books! I've been dealing with strep in the house, and my oldest just had his wisdom teeth pulled out this morning, so things have been a bit crazy around here. I'm also going to be taking a little girl's trip next weekend but I promise that before Thanksgiving we'll have this all wrapped up and one of you lucky participants will be celebrating the holidays by answering your door every couple of days and receiving books, books, books!!!!

I want to thank all of you for your gracious participation when I host these promotions! You make it so much fun for ME! I LOVE reading all your comments and thoughtful answers to the questions I ask! They always stay with me throughout the day and really get me thinking!

Have a great day and a great weekend and make sure to check the previous posts to see if you're one of the recent winners, and REMEMBER, if you've posted EVEN ONCE on one of the last 26 book entries you are DEFINITELY qualified to win ALL OF THE BOOKS THAT WERE FEATURED here on the blog for the FALL FAB GIVEAWAY!

Special thanks to all of the incredible authors and publicists who donated their books and time to make this promotion happen and of course I'll be doing another smash giveaway in the winter, but for now you'll probably just have to stick around the blog to read about my life and writing and what's going on in that little world!

If you've previously won a book and have NOT received it yet and it's been a month or longer, please email me to let me know!

THE BREAK-UP DIET by Annette Fix

Winner Announced!
Congrats to Anne Beth
who told of this break-up:
"My first boyfriend in college, when I found out he was dating someone else :(
Oh well, it worked out MUCH better!"
Please email me your full name and mailing address at stephanieelliot@gmail.com so I can send you your book!

Book: The Break-Up Diet: A Memoir

Author: Annette Fix

Website: http://www.thebreak-updiet.com/

Winner Will Be Announced Here

“If you’ve ever loved and lost, and eaten fudge topping out of the jar” … ladies, this one’s for you!

We haven’t featured a memoir since last week, so here’s one for today, The Break-Up Diet: A Memoir by Annette Fix.

I met Annette online, and again, I think it was through that fabulous Yahoo Chick Lit group where we first connected. We’ve remained online buds and swear that someday we’re gonna meet up. Here’s her story:

Annette Fix thought she had it all. She had been the sole support for her son for 12 years and was planning her happily ever after with the man of her dreams, when her life turned upside down and she got dumped. Hard.

Her immediate remedy? Hot fudge topping, and not spoonfuls. She needed vats of it. And fast.

Her breakup - and how she recovered - is told boldly, heartbreakingly and humorously as it unfolded in her book, The Break-Up Diet: A Memoir . What I love about this memoir is that it's so much more about Annette's life than just her breakup. She had her chocolate and her Wonderboy son to get her through the rough spots, and she charged onward. An alternative title might be: An Exotic Dancin' Homeschoolin' Mom's Break-up Memoir.

Annette powers through the tough times and comes out ahead. An inspirational book for all women whether you’re a mom or not, and all those who've ever gone through a break-up!

Current news on Annette: She was offered an option to adapt The Break-Up Diet: A Memoir as a cable TV series. She's currently working on the pilot and obsessively cutting out celebrity faces from People Magazine to assemble the cast. Keep an eye out on Amazon and B&N.com in the month of April for the release of the ebook version of The Break-Up Diet: A Memoir.

Break-up story time—tell me yours, short and sweet, but I hope it’s not too heartbreaking – I don’t wanna cry!

AFTER YOU by Julie Buxbaum

CONGRATS TO:
Books & Reviews Blogger
You have won AFTER YOU!
Please email me your full name and address so I can send you the copy of the book! Thanks everyone for participating and please continue to enter - there are lots more books to be won, including the grand prize of all 31+ books at the end of the month!

Book: After You
Author: Julie Buxbaum
Winner: Books & Reviews Blogger
Website: Juliebuxbaum.com

I first found out about Julie Buxbaum because she was written up in Redbook for her first book, The Opposite of Love, which you might be confused with the book The Opposite of Me, by Sarah Pekkanen, both fabulous books, both NEITHER being featured right now. Hahah, what a tease am I! But I remember reading about The Opposite of Love in Redbook and immediately tearing out the page because it was a book I HAD TO HAVE. Crazy enough, a couple of days later, I GET AN EMAIL FROM THE AUTHOR, JULIE BUXBAUM, and I seriously freaked out!

How did she know me?!?!?!

Another author, Allison Winn Scotch, who, if you don’t already know her (HOW DO YOU NOT ALREADY KNOW ALLISON??), you will get to read about her later here too! … anyway, does it sound like I’m amped up on caffeine here? …

Allison and Julie are friends and Allison suggested Julie contact me because I was already doing reviews and giveaways on MaNiC MoMMY back then and so Julie emailed me.

And did I want to share her debut book with my readers?

YES!!

And it just so happened that Julie was going to be doing a reading near me and I had to come meet her, so long story still long, but I’m telling it anyway, I went to meet Julie, and then we went out to dinner and had a great time and since then Julie has written another fabulous book, had a beautiful baby, moved to London, and is writing her third book.

After You is about Ellie and Lucy’s friendship and how far one will go to take care of a loved one when tragedy strikes. It’s about Lucy’s precocious 8-year-old daughter and it’s about marriage, a murder and the lengths one will go to take care of a friend, putting all things aside that used to be important. It’s about stepping away from everything you’ve ever known to find out what it is you’re most meant to need.

Here’s what Amazon says of the book:

The complexities of a friendship. The unexplored doubts of a marriage. And the redemptive power of literature ... Julie Buxbaum, the acclaimed author of The Opposite of Love, delivers a haunting, gloriously written novel about love, family, and the secrets we hide from each other--and ourselves.

Read the FIRST CHAPTER HERE. And you can always check out Julie's blog at: Julie's Got Writer's Blog. Yes, this is my subtle way of getting Julie back to blogging! : )

LOVE IN MID AIR by Kim Wright

WINNER ANNOUNCED!
Congratulations to:
FLASHTHEOUTLAW!
You have won a copy of LOVE IN MID AIR!
Please email me with your full name and address so I can get your copy sent to you! Thanks for your participation!

Book: LOVE IN MID AIR

Author: Kim Wright

Winner: WILL BE ANNOUNCED HERE

Website: loveinmidair.com

Today’s book is a really fun read that takes a look at a tough topic – infidelity, but this time it’s the woman who goes astray. How’s that for a twist? A chance meeting on a flight sends Elyse’s world topsy-turvy and suddenly she’s willing to risk everything in her seemingly perfect life to get what she thinks she wants. With a colorful cast of characters who revolve around an affluent Southern community and Elyse’s book club (how cool is THAT?), Elyse will discover if there are consequences to following through with the affair.

Here’s the awesome book trailer.

Take a look at this video I got to shoot with the ladies of the SheKnows Book Club:

Love in Mid Air She Knows Book Club Video

It was a riot to go into the studio and do a real TV shoot. I totally flubbed the taping right before this one. If you get a chance, sign on to the SheKnows Book Club – you can actually live chat with the authors after everyone reads the books – it’s very cool! And we all chatted with Kim Wright about Love in Mid Air when she was the featured author.

If you don’t win Love in Mid Air here, it’s coming out in paperback this July – you’re going to want this one for sure! Good Luck!

Book: Happy Hour

Author: Michele Scott
Winner: WILL BE ANNOUNCED HERE SO COME BACK TO SEE IF YOU'VE WON

Website: http://www.michelescott.com/

While I have not yet read Happy Hour, it’s definitely one I can’t wait to dive into (with a nice glass of Chardonnay in hand!). What a premise – four close friends who live in Napa Valley meet on Sundays for get-togethers, food and wine. Wouldn’t life be great if we could all take Sundays and make it our OWN day to hang with our best girlfriends, drink great wine and eat fabulous food?

But then again, it sure would make Mondays even harder!

Review on Amazon:Four friends working in Napa Valley, Sundays are for fellowship, good food and wine. Jamie is editor-in-chief at "Wine Lover's Magazine," and a single mother. Before her husband died, she lived a fairy tale life. Guilt from his death keeps her from moving forward. Kat is a sommelier, and co-owner of a restaurant with her chef husband Christian. Although deeply in love they deal with a myriad of issues, including ex-spouses, Kat's teenage sons and her new age mother Venus. Danielle is a vintner who finds herself entrenched in both an identity and family crises when her eldest daughter returns home from college with a bombshell of a secret. Alyssa is an artist and gallery owner. When a tragic past event catches up with her, she must face the skeleton in her closet and rely on her friends to see her through her darkest hours. These women discover that friendship is the right prescription to get through the hard times as well as for enjoying the wonderful moments together.

Michele Scott is the author of Murder Uncorked and the Wine Lover's Mystery Series as well as the Horse Lover's Mystery Series for Berkley Prime Crime (Penguin). Michele has been writing for more than fifteen years and after twelve years of pursuing her passion, she signed two three-book deals with Berkley in less than a year. Her debut novel Murder Uncorked, nominated for a best first mystery award by Romantic Times BookClub, hit the Barnes & Nobles mystery bestseller list and the Independent Mystery Bestseller list. Her newest books El Patrón and Happy Hour are departs from the cozy style. Happy Hour comes straight from the soul, touching on the struggles of women dealing with teenagers, aging parents, step-children, divorce and so much more. El Patron is a saga filled with lust, power, intrigue and action. Michele has been featured in The Writer, Romantic Times, San Diego Magazine, and Touring & Tasting.

Today we kick off MaNiC MoMMy’s March Madness Book-A-Day Giveaway and I’m pleased to be sharing Catherine McKenzie’s books with you! Not only is Catherine an AMAZING writer, she is a passionate book lover and is always sharing news of other authors with readers. She began the AUTHOR/READER EFFECT on FaceBook where authors and readers band together to bring attention to deserving books. Catherine is ALWAYS giving away incredible books over there.

The two books that Catherine is giving away here on will blow you away. I’ve read them both and they are so great.

Here’s my review on ARRANGED, previously posted on MaNiC MoMMy:
Anne Blythe has just broken up with another one of her boyfriends and finds a business card in the street promoting what she thinks is a dating company called, ironically, Blythe & Company. Because of the similarity of the company’s name and her last name, she keeps the card and eventually calls this ‘dating’ company only to discover they really arrange marriages. Tired of picking the wrong men, and after deep contemplation, she agrees to be matched for marriage. Soon, Anne is on her way to Mexico to meet, Jack, the man who’s the perfect match for her, sight unseen.

Based solely on personality scores and psychology testing, Anne and Jack meet, and what unfolds from here will have you turning pages so quickly you’ll want to get to the end, yet you’ll also want to prolong your reading enjoyment. Jack and Anne’s relationship from their very first meeting is so real, so sparked with tenderness and that first sexual tension that you’ll have a difficult time putting ARRANGED down.

McKenzie writes fluid dialogue and beautiful descriptions; you’ll wonder if there’s really a Blythe & Company in existence already, and if there’s not, why isn’t there? What a concept! And Jack and Anne’s relationship – it’s one of those kinds that you’ll be rooting for them, crying for them, turning the pages in anxious waiting wondering with oh-my-gosh moments, what could happen next!
And SPIN:

Katie is the typical party girl and goes out to celebrate her 30th birthday, which also happens to be on the eve of a very important job interview for the music mag, THE LINE. When she arrives at the job interview still drunk from the night before, it’s no surprise she doesn’t get the job. What does surprise her is they ask her to go into rehab to follow IT girl Amber Shepherd, write the tell-all expose, and then they’ll give her the job she actually wants. What Katie never expected when she goes into rehab to get the goods on Amber, was that maybe she did need rehab after all, and that maybe she might just actually become friends with Amber. What she does when she gets out of rehab will surprise everyone, even Katie.

I loved SPIN because it was a little like peeking into the life of a starlet like Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears in rehab, and the ways that Katie matures during her rehab stint shows that it’s possible for even the most skeptical to gain a little insight in rehab. And yes, there’s also a little love connection going on in rehab too, so you won’t want to miss out on SPIN!

So, here’s how this is going to work. Please leave a comment, and all those who do will qualify to win BOTH books, SPIN and ARRANGED by Catherine McKenzie! I’ll draw the winner on March 3 (always TWO days after I post the daily book, unless it’s a weekend, I may allow for more time), and I will post the winner’s name at the TOP of this post, in the highlighted area. PLEASE be specific with your name in the comment section, and IF YOUR NAME is listed as the winner, you must email me at stephanieelliot@gmail.com in order to claim your prize. Email me with your full name and address so I can have your book(s) sent to you.

Thanks, and GOOD LUCK! And you may come back tomorrow to see what book I’ll be giving away then too!
