I May Be Stupid... but I'm Not that Stupid.

I am severely annoyed at this moment,

Honestly? Sounds like she's a total coward, and rather than telling you what really happened, she took the easy way out by blaming it on her kid and the fact that he hadn't yet gotten around to do his chores.

Follow your gut instincts, This cow totally lied to you!!!! And is encouraging her son to take on this behaviour as klipper surely knew he got a better offer! ie.. Klipper went home to get shoes, friend pops over and says come on lets go to the pool. Klipper says, please mom please.. Mom says okay but first we must go to manics and produce a lie.. dont let on son... What a cow... I'd keep my son away... far far away!!!

That's just wrong! I would have yelled and waved "hi klipper!"

What's really sad is she just taught her sone to lie to get out of something, when the truth would've been just as easy.

You should have called out something like "Gee he got his chores done quick, maybe he can teach my son to be so speedy".

We ended up at the pool yesterday afternoon and Hubby spotted Klipper in the locker room.

"Hey Klipper, got all your chores done huh?"

"Uh, yeah."

And I saw Stagger's mom so I'm sure Klipper's mom knows I saw Klipper there. That's all I need. But really, now I know to just be a little bit cautious around her.

Update: All is good in Klipper-Land. I went for my walk this a.m. and Mrs. Klipper was driving by and I could tell she was slowing down as if she wanted to talk.

I stopped and she rolled down the window and said, "I tried to call you yesterday afternoon (a quick check to Caller ID proves this, that the call came right about the time Klipper left the pool)... Klipper went to the pool yesterday."

"Yeah, I saw him there."

"I didn't want you to think he went without doing his chores, but Mrs. Stagger had asked, and Klipper was upset because he had to do work, so I let him go."

"That's cool. Heck I would rather be at the pool than the baseball game. I didn't even go to the game!"

"I just didn't want you to think..."

(everything that I probably thought already)

"No. It's all good. Thanks for stopping to tell me."

And so now all is grand in Klipper World, in fact, he and Ajers are chowing down on some Mac and Cheese right now, or what I like to call, Smack N Sneeze!

The really sad part here is for the boy, his mom is not teaching him to own up to his promises - to keep his word. Very sad when boys like this grown into men and can't live up to their own words.

You are right. Sorry hubby. What kind of a parent lies for her child? ARG! I too, live on Wysteria Lane...

I'm stunned that she actually looked you in the eye. Is her telephone broken? Wow. I'm sorry that happened to you all. (miss ya!)C

You can forgive, but I don't think I'd forget this one.
