Drew mentioned that "Back Fat and The Stomach Bug" would make for an interesting band name.
What kind of songs would they sing?
Have you ever heard of a phrase or term and thought it would make a good name for a band?
I've often thought: Wasted Sobriety would make a kick-ass band name. Of course, their songs would be about wasting their lives away being sober, or being so drunk they don't even know what sobriety is, or wanting to be drunk but instead are too sober to come up with anything clever to sing.
You have any ideas for a cool band name? And what do they sing?

I am a member of 'The League of Crappy Guitarists'. It's not how you play, but what you're full of that counts.
Raging Bitches! Especially on those PMS Day's :), We'd rage about anything okay, unoriginal and boring I know but I suck at these things!! :(
I'd have to think about it ... but are you feeling better???
(Plus, you do not have back fat, you freak! LOL)
i think wasted sobriety is an awesome name...i hate back fat and the stomach bug...it grosses me out just thinking of that...makes me think of fat ugly men with long curly brown hair playing crappy sounding music
How about "The Trainwrecks"? It pretty much sums up alot of the music that I hear lately.
Drew--love your 'band name.' Do the members all wear Hawaiian shirts?
Ramblin'--that is a GREAT name, and the Raging Bitches could sing about anything they wanted, and if they suck as a band, the audience better not boo or they'll get their asses kicked by some Raging Bitches! Love it!
Swish--feeling good enough to devour three slices of pizza and cake at a five-year-old b'day party. HAVE to count points tomorrow! You're sweet for saying I no have back fat! (and yes, I meant to type it like that, I no have back fat.)
Hi Jessica! Haven't seen you around Manic's - thanks for stopping by! Yeah, the fat ugly men thing is a gross visual.
POG--YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THIS! The band we saw in Georgia on the Fourth of July (think I blogged about them) is called The Trainwrecks. They have a spot on MySpace--they were really cool, played at a bayou-like little dive bar on the edge of town in Tybee Island!
MM good interview on 5 Minutes with Mom. Nice looking family too!
It wouldn't do me any good to name a band or tell you what kind of music they play because my friends can all attest - this is my weak point in trivia. :( I can't believe you were at Tybee Island and didn't stop to say Hi! JK, I didn't even know you then LOL
i had a band name years ago...it was
jailbait
then i had another one after i was older called
seeds of rumor
songs , well i never got that far:)
This is totally off topic but I was looking at your photo in your profile because you look cute and not in the I'm-a-lesbian-on-the-prowl kind of way. Just curious to what you look like cuz I think your cool. Are you flipping the bird? Cracks me up. I got trolled and I visited the troll's blog and there is the funniest pic of a guy giving the troll the finger. Wish I had thought of that.
hey manic mom, i visited a while back when you had your post up about snapping with two hands...you just don't recognize me because i changed my pic since then...i had been using that one pic of me hanging upside down and then i one day it hit me and i thought OMG i look like a complete retard commenting on people's blogs looking at them upside down...like some monkey or something!
I always wanted an all-girl 80's cover band called: Mickey Good-Bye.
We'd wear side pony tails and too much make-up with killer boots and sing Flock of Seagulls and Duran Duran kind of 80's. We'd rock the Friday night bar scene...
Two Roads--Tybee Island rocks! I even got a hickey from a cute stranger there!
Bossy B--Love the Seeds of Rumor band name!
Slackermommy--there's a photo posted of the fam somewhere over on the sidebar which should be pretty easily located.
You can also go to the archives-the Sept. archive will lead you to the old Manic Mom stuff, and there are pics of me floating around in Sept and Oct, plus some of the kids and other goofy stuff... and seeing as you're a slackermommy with only four kids, who only changes diapers after they've fallen off, you should have plenty of time to search the archives!
Jessica--Yeah, you're right! I thought you looked like the upside-down girl!
Domestic Val--how's that little darling baby of yours? I like the Mickey Goodbye theme with '80s songs... I think they'd do a great cover of OH MICKEY YOU'RE SO FINE, YOU'RE SO FINE YOU BLOW MY MIND, HEY MICKEY!...
Maybe the band should be Mickey's Dead or The Kill Mickeys...
Now I wanna be a rock star!
Feel the love! xo
Sneezeguard.
They do speed metal.
Sincerely,
Your Tampa-girl anonymous commenter.
Sneezeguard--I was like WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT! Cracking up over here.
Are you the Tampa girl who attended the same high school as I did?
Or somebody else?
Conna--are you outting yourself?
Sneezeguard-the band you don't want to see from Front and Center!
I'm the Academy girl. Wouldn't the nuns be proud!
