You Tube TV Debut

So I took the DVD from the television show and made You Tube videos from that. There are five clips, all are finally uploaded - Some of them have my phone ringing during it. Check out the last one when the credits run and I am talking and acting like I know what I'm doing at the end of the show ... hahah.

The host, who was GREAT, was so easy to talk with, and thanks Aim, for bringing me as your guest, it was sooo much fun! See that Starbucks cup of water? The host told me I could put it on the table! I had it behind the chair!

Also, I said "UMM" A LOT. Hey, I should hold a contest to see who can guess how many times I said UMM. (Don't count 'em, really!)

You go girl! You did AWESOME!

(That was poor English. Sorry.)

You did awesomeLY! :)

The one thing I had a good chuckle about was when you said something like, "Yeah, now I just stop in to say hi and have snacks!" ROFL!

Methinks the Heartland Blood Center may have a stalker named Manic! Bwahahahaha!

I taught you everything I know.

UMM, I say UMM all the time at school and talking is at least part of my job.

I thought you sounded great! And hooray for getting a little attention for all of your hard work!

That's awesome. I had no idea you had the whole Bloody Sunday thing going on. I would so have participated since I give blood every 8 weeks or so. I'm O-neg so I give double red which is extra fun!

Good job!

UM... Jeff, UM, I will be holding this contest again next year, so you can play with next year, but in the meantime, go ahead and get stuck with a needle at your local blood center! : )

Great Job!! What fun. You looked wonderful. Ok may favorite part was the end credits when you went for the Starbucks. That was a huge cup!

Tracey said...

Ha! I loved it--go you! I gave last weekend and if the blood mobile cats were a friendlier sort, I would have had them take a pic. But they just wanted my O neg, too.

I got a T-shirt, though.

You were awesome!

Hey Manic!
You did great! You even mentioned me! I was on the radio and I know I said ummm way too ummm many umm times!

I wanted to tell you that I've been chosen to co-chair Relay For Life in our county and I took it upon myself to call the red cross and ask for the bloodmobile to come to our kick-off event that will be HUGE in our Wal-Mart parking lot April 5th. We need teams to sign up and we all know Cancer patients need blood! I also have arranged for the bloodmobile (way cooler than the batmobile in my opinion!) to be at our Relay Event on August 8th for non-participants (since we probably don't want to give blood and then walk all night long right??) And they have agreed to come in June and do some sort of Cancer Awareness event with us and take more blood......you've created a monster!!

Way to go! That was so cool. You deserve the publicity, although not too much or your blog will go down and we'll all suffer withdrawal symptoms lol.

I loved the way you managed to premote giving blood again even though your competition isnt on. And you said about giving donations and getting other people to donate across the country, well, you had us all doing it over here in the UK, so you hit the world baby!!! mega impressive in my books. We need someone like you to do a blood drive over here lol.

I wish we could give more regularly than we do though, ours is 16 weeks now to donate, we'd do it more if we could.

I must admit, i was starting to count the umms, i got to 7 on my fingers into the second video then got so into it i forgot to count lol. Seriously, you rocked!

I loved the credits at the end though, were you dancing or something??? made me giggle anyways.

Take Care,

UK Sammie x

p.s, does this mean you'll be on there again premoting 40 weeks???

You are a star! Well done.

Looks great. The opening credits remind me of a cheesy 80s sitcom :)

Okay, if I were on television, I'd want to know if I looked and sounded good. You were BOTH. Fabulous outfit, excellent shoes (and you say you don't care about shoes...fibber), and your hair was perfectly coiffed. Further, you were well spoken--honest and sincere with excellent touches of humor. Do I smell a suburban Oprah in the making?

My favorite part: "I started giving blood to get a few hours away all to myself." Not many people would be as honest and up front as that. Good for you! Truer words were never spoken.

BTW, Eric says you need to get together. He's looking for a college friends reunion. (Another blood drive opportunity in the making?? For NIU??)

Again, fabulous appearance!

Now I get to say ... I KNEW HER WHEN!!! You were awesome, of COURSE, and totally cute, of COURSE, and this is only the first one of many! Just wait until they ask you back to plug your book!

Very inspiring! I'm an RN and have never donated...shame on me! I'll be searching for a donation site ASAP! I'll even blog about it to hold myself accountable...the kids are on vacation from school this week but if you can bring 6 then surely I can bring 3!

BTW....the host said UMMM more than you did!!! And she's the host! Don't sweat it...you did great!

Wow! I persnally (virtually) know someone who was on TV! You did such a great job! And how cool is it that they had your blog address on the bottom of the screen? Holy Crap! I wondering if your views and comments are going to quadruple or something!

You looked fabulous!

You go girl. Soupuh Stah.....(sniffing my fingers after running them under my pit's) Remember, SNL's Molly Shannon skit. Can I get your autograph?

Aww, you're famous!

Great spot, Manic. You did great, and not nearly the umms you had me anticipating. I will say that I kept waiting through the first few clips to see when they were going to let you talk!

I'm proud of you for not grabbing your cup to drink about 20 times. That's so what I would have done. I'm glad to see you at least grabbed it during the credits -- that made me feel better! ;)

Oh yeah! And I have a new donating pic for you. Not a good one, but one nonetheless!

Happy Easter!

Glad you got some publicity for your great cause.

Manic, I am just seeing this TV debut today (3/30) as I am making up for last week when I was in the hospital for my March IVIG infusion, and was without internet this time for the first time.

I am so very serious when I talk about what the blood drive did for me, and how I want to stay in touch and involved with anything you do, not just next year, but anything at any time. I'm new to blogging, and it is the first thing that has helped me so much physically in coping with this *changed* life of mine. Blogging, and then the blood drive, has given me more purpose in life, more purpose for living. I have less depression, and down days. From reading your comment sections, I *feel* like I know a whole new bunch of *girls* (you all are my daughter's age ;).

Keep up the good and fun times here, Manic. You've already made a difference in people's lives - besides mine.
