If you missed The Art of Forgetting when it came out in hard cover last year, you are in for a treat now. Last year when I read it, I cracked it open thinking I would take a sneak peek and suddenly I was on chapter six dying to know what was happening with the mystery behind Nathan, Marissa’s ex-love, and wondering about the brain injury that her best friend, Julia sustains. I read this book at a super-fast pace and couldn’t recommend it enough! Such a great read!

Back-of-the-book blurb:
Marissa Rogers never wanted to be an alpha; beta suited her just fine. Taking charge without taking credit had always paid off: vaulting her to senior editor at a glossy magazine; keeping the peace with her critical, weight-obsessed mother; and enjoying the benefits of being best friends with gorgeous, charismatic, absolutely alpha Julia Ferrar.

And then Julia gets hit by a cab. She survives with minor obvious injuries, but brain damage steals her memory and alters her personality, possibly forever. Suddenly, Marissa is thrown into the role of alpha friend. As Julia struggles to regain her memory- dredging up issues Marissa would rather forget, including the fact that Julia asked her to abandon the love of her life ten years ago- Marissa's own equilibrium is shaken.

To enter to win The Art of Forgetting, tell me something you’re always forgetting to do. I ALWAYS forget to be on time!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: THE MONTH OF JUNE IS A SPECIAL PROMOTIONAL MONTH AND ALL THE BOOKS AND ENTRIES WILL APPLY TOWARD A SPECIAL GRAND PRIZE CONTEST! All entries will count toward a grand prize contest at the end of June, so it’s best that you come back DAILY as the more you enter, the more chances you have to win the grand prize of pre-selected books at the end of the month!

As with all of the books I post on Booking with MaNiC, thanks to the authors and publicists for providing me with the books. Giveaways open to US/Canada residents only. To enter, leave an identifying unique user name or ID (NO anonymous will be accepted – leave an email address if you don’t know how to post to an account!

Winners will be chosen at random by random.org, within THREE DAYS from the date the book is posted on the blog, and one entry ALLOWED per book please. If you scroll through previous posts and if there is NOT a highlighted note at the top, then feel free to enter to win that book too! If there is a highlighted announcement at the top of a post, then that book is closed to comments and a winner has already been chosen. For comments, questions, suggestions, please email me at stephanieelliot@gmail.com. Thanks for your participation! Good luck!

I don't forget one particular thing, but it never fails that whenever I am trying to do something, I forget something upstairs in my house when I need it downstairs and vice versa. I must climb my stairs hundreds of times in a day!

i'm with lucy872 - inevitably forgetting my book or my shoes or earrings in the bedroom when i'm trying to leave for work in the morning so it's up & down the stairs...!

I always forgot something when I go to the grocery store or Target. Something always fails to make it to the list or I forget the list and wing it.

I forget things that are just not part of my daily routine. Whether's dropping something off on my way home from work or picking up a prescription that I may fill about every 2 - 3 months.

If I have only a few items I need from the store and don't write a list I always forget an item. I remember teasing my mom about this....karma is a bitch!

I forget EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME! If I don't write it down, or put it on a sticky note on my forehead, I am almost always likely to forget. Whether it's stopping by the bank, or picking something up at the store. If it is out of my normal daily routine, I'm a space cadet!

I forget things all the time! If I'm in a hurry, I'll inevitably forget something and have to turn around and go get it. Even if I have a list at the grocery store, I'll get distracted and forget something on it, and I'm terrible about forgetting things my fiance asked me to do! :( Oops. lol

I always forget to bring things with me when I'm going someplace that I know I have something to bring. For instance, when I was going to my parent's house this weekend, I forgot to bring the box of clothes that I wanted my mom to give to her friend!

When I'm at the grocery store there is always one item on my mental list that I forget! I try to correct this by writing lists down, but sometimes I forget to do even that. :)

This book has been on my radar for a long time and I would love to win a copy!

I always forget to bring my car keys outside with me when I go to leave. You'd think I'd be smart enough to put them in my purse when I get home so that the next time I go out, they are there. But nope! That would be too easy. So I get me, all our stuff, and my 2 kids all installed in the car, go to start it, and can't find my bloody keys!! Drives me crazy!
