The whole incident from the other day made an impression on Diva. Now, when she goes to use the toilet, this is what she asks me:
"Mom, can I lock the door? I won't do anything."
"Yes, I know you won't do anything bad in there."
I trust her. I know she's learned her lesson... Plus, I got rid of all the toothbrushes.

AH .. a good lesson learned.
I would ditched the toothbrushes too. Here is aclean towel and floss, scrub those teeth down! :o)
Fran--I didn't really toss the toothbrushes - she was using the downstairs potty! ; )
I was about to say toothbrushes are now contraband in Manic's house. Anyone caught with one is gonna have to face some serious consequences..And lock the door young lady? You aren't even allowed to shut the door!
You can tell me to shut up, as I don't have kids...
Maybe as punishment you coul dhave made them clean the loo with the toothbrush!
You could have her pay for the new toothbrush & the gas used to get to the store to buy the new toothbrush.
Loss of $$$$ always seems to make a big impact at my house!!
That reminds me of my mom's favorite rule: NO POOPING IN THE DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM! Of course everyone does it anyway.
OMG that is too funny. And Swishy my husband says that to the kids all the time. No pooping in the downstairs bathroom. It stinks up the whole house. He's right, but still, come on. They do it when he's not looking;)) Just because HE has issues with where he "goes". He'll even come home from work just to use "his" toilet.
