GOT MILF by Sarah Maizes

Congratulations Melissa A (mbamster0720)
You are the MILFy Winner!
Email me at stephanieelliot@gmail.com to claim your book!

Here’s a fun book for you MILFs out there. It’s called:

We already know I’m on my second minivan (cuz I already rocked my first one into the junk yard – hahah I kill me!), so I’m part-way there to Milf Status, right?

I’d venture to say this is a book for Moms but it would also make a fun gift for any of you out there to give to a mom friend, your sister, your aunt, your own mother or any woman you think has Milf status!

It’s all about being a confident Milf, one who laughs a lot, kisses her man in public, hugs her kids in public till they cry out in embarrassment. A Milf is a woman who doesn’t let petty issues bum her out. She’s a modern woman, a confident girl, who’s hot and knows where it’s at! If you’re that person, or if you want tips on how to let your inner Milf find her way out, this is a great little book that will help you shine through!

Here’s a hilarious video starring the author, Sarah Maizes, who will better explain what it means if you’ve “Got Milf!”

If you’d like a shot at winning a copy, leave a comment on where you first heard the word Milf, if you are a Milf already, if you even know what the word means, if you aspire to be a Milf, if you would, or how you would feel if someone called you one while you were walking down the street. For me, I first heard of a Milf during the movie, American Pie. I wouldn’t consider myself a Milf all of the time, only when I get dressed up, but if a young dude called me that, I would be very flattered.

OR, if you don’t want to answer any of these questions, just say “GOT MILK” instead and I’ll still ENTER you into the drawing at the end of the month for the grand prize of mystery books and other stuff I plan to toss into the mystery box! : )

If you didn’t yet enter yesterday’s book PRICELESS, make sure to check it out by going to the previous post! I will most likely be choosing all the winners for the week over the weekend so do check back then! AS LONG AS A WINNER's NAME is NOT posted at the top of the blog post, then that means a winner has NOT yet been chosen so you can still enter to win that book but ONLY ONE TIME per book entry PLEASE!

Thanks for reading and being a part of June Blast-O-Books. I also blog at SheKnows.com Real Moms Guide.

If you're new here, check out the rules and other stuff for the June Blast-O-Books there under that highlighted link back there, or feel free to leave me a comment always and I'll answer it in the thread, or email me at stephanieelliot@gmail.com. It is always at my discretion to change things up, and because of some regulations, I guess I must say that the books I review are given to me by either the authors or publishers or publicists, and I am never paid for my reviews, and they are my own personal reviews, and you know what, because I'm here telling you this anyway, I will also tell you that I never review a book I don't like, because you know what, why waste my time, life is too short to read a crappy book! There. There's my new mantra!

I'm rocking my 4th MiniVan, this time I got vanity plates, LOL! That alone makes me a milf, LOL! Looks like a great book!

First heard MILF on American Pie also! :) Cracked me up! It's sooo true though! And although I don't hook up with girls I do still point out a good MILF when I see one. :)

Tina I have the Honda Odyssey too! Just got a 2011 in Oct. but it's already beat to shit! hahah. My first was Ford Windstar. OK, does chatting about our minvans make us more MILFy or less MILFy? hahah

I don't remember where I heard the term MILF but I, too, would be flattered to be called one. Although it does sound a little creepy to want a younger man to call you that doesn't it???

Honestly, the idea of being a MILF kinda creeps me out. Maybe it's the use of the F word?

“GOT MILK”

Funny thing with this; I just looked at my WORD VERIFICATION and the first part of it was "moo" haha, that's funny. Anyways!

I have mixed feelings about MILF, I heard of it before American Pie and I am in a younger generation of not so bright boys, who associate MILF with pornstars.

DaphneSFL said...

I think I first heard it on a reality tv show. True confession: I think American Pie is stupid and didn't enjoy it at all. Let the flaming begin :)

I, too, first heard MILF in American Pie. I am almost positive that I am not a MILF but wouldn't mind being called one. I may just cry w/ joy if someone called me a MILF....hmmm...maybe I really need this book! LOL!

Thanks for the great give-a-ways!

Have any of us heard MILF before American Pie? It's so ingrained in my brain now I'm not sure I did.

I'd like to think I'm a MILF, I don't rock the minivan though, still won't let go of my zippy little pontiac!

Funny story, I was with my mom in Vegas and these guys bought us a round of drinks and one of the guys let my mom know she was a MILF (she didn't know) and I had to explain it to her. I only hope to look as good as she does when I'm older!

Erin T. said...

I also heard the word the first time on American Pie. I wouldn't consider myself a MILF at all; mainly because I never dress up unless absolutely necessary. I wear jeans, t-shirts, and flip flops to work for cripes sake! If someone called me a MILF I'd like to think that I'd be flattered, but I think I honestly would want to punch them in the face because I don't know anyone other than a teen who would use that.

I do not remember where I heard the term milf ... I am not a mom but i know a few women who would be considered one.

I'm not even CLOSE to being a MILF. I can't remember when I first heard of that...but it wouldn't hurt my feelings to know some young thing thought of me that way!! LOL!! Maybe this book will inspire me to reach my inner MILF someday. Nan P.S. I don't own a minivan but mabye I can rock out my Subaru Forrester?!?

Beverly Victoria said...

Haven't heard of MILF until I saw this book. Been through one minivan, and am back to a station wagon type vehicle.

Got MILF. Yes, I think I'm a MILF and really American Pie is the only place I have heard this term used.

Halarious video! As soon as I had my second child and started babysitting my nephew full time I realized the full impact of the term MILF. Someone always needing something... never a quiet moment to thing... never a private moment, not even to use the bathroom... As wonderful as it is... its also insane! haha..

I heard the term MILF about 8 years ago when one of my 6th grade students thought it was an appropriate search for the school's computer lab...He didn't even get suspended! It was treated as boys will be boys when his parents showed up at school with their attorney...

Ok, where to begin?! The video is priceless!
Anyway, enough about her... ;-). I first heard the term MILF when I married my husband 5 years ago (Friday!) and his teenage sons' friends were discussing moi. At first i was indignant. What did I know?
Now I embrace it! When one of my little students this year called me "Mrs Milfon" instead of Mrs. Milton, I 'bought fell out and almsot wet my pants! Now my stepsons' friends all call me Mrs. Milfon... and i take that as a compliment.
So there. ;-)

I first heard the term on a radio show - years ago. I don't have children of my own, but one of my step-son's friends said I was "hot", so maybe I'm a step-MILF?

American Pie was where I first heard it too but I didn't remember that until you said it. There's a movie that gets funnier every time you see it!

I certainly feel like a MILF since I am finished being enormously pregnant and can finally do it. And, I don't know, motherhood has made me feel more beautiful. That's so cheesy but it's true. I'm a hot mama.

MonaLisa said...

OH my! I first read an article on the OLD site you use to work for (Betty something or other... can't quite remember the name HAHA as I deleted the dumb asses from my favorite as soon as you LEFT the site!!!!). The article said something to the tune of 30 year olds tend to be turned off by the term yet 40 year olds enjoy the reference. The funny thing is I didn't know what MILF stood for the entire article - so I googeled it!

DON'T Goggle that word! PORN popped up - serious hard core stuff!... So I'm having a hard time bridging the gap between porn and driving a mini-van! Soooooo I guess I do need to read this book!

Thanks!
Christine

I have been called a MILF many times by my daughters teenage friends. One time her and some of her "boy" friends were at a gas station that I was at (but we didn't know we were all there) and I walked out and one of the boys said "Now that is a MILF. I would like to tap that!" My daughter looks up and is like "EWWWW!!! That is my MOM!"

I don't remember when I first heard the phrase "milf", it seems like it's always been part of the vocabulary, I'll be an official mom in October. I don't want to be a milf, that are so many better things to be that aren't based on someone else's sexual attraction. I've never liked that phrase, but it does seem like a fun book. Like a mom, it seems she got the meaning of the "hip in with the kids phrase" wrong, which makes me want to read it all the more.

Homestead Jen said...

I heard it during American Pie, too. I am not sure how I would feel if someone called me a MILF - I think my inner feminist would be pissed, but I don't mind those occasional times I get a second look...

Okay, seriously. I heard it the first time from my son. He was 16 at the time and we used to have a HOT (he thinks, not me..she looks Ehhhh to me) neighbor and he said it to his best friend while they were playing XBox. They both laughed like little pig-tailed school girls, so I asked what it meant. He told me and I screamed his name so loud the MILF neighbor probably heard me!! Which I do have to say, she has moved and I am sooooo glad!! She didn't make it a secret that she thought Big Daddy was a FILF!!! Biotch!

First heard in "American Pie." I am a mom, and my husband would say I'm a milf. :) If someone called me one, that someone better be a hot rock star named Adam Lambert. ;)
In any case, why would I call myself a milf. I know what it stands for and it's saying that I have a weird obsession with myself. :) Seriously though, I am a mom who likes to still focus on who she is as an individual. :)
