Manic Candy Giveaway

IF YOU HAVEN'T COMMENTED, YOU'VE GOT TILL I TURN ON THE COMPUTER WEDNESDAY A.M. TO WIN THE CANDY BAR OF YOUR CHOICE! I KNOW, I KNOW, HOW ON EARTH AM I GONNA PULL THIS CONTEST OFF??

Preface: You might want to read the previous posts if you haven't kept up to date with this blog because we're talking chocolate, mood swings and PMS here. And men readers, you count too so go ahead and keep reading!

Candy from a stranger? Here's what I'm going to do to prove Ramblin' Rose that I'm legit and will not lace her Reese's with Xanax (because we all know how I can't part with those suckers!).

In honor of all this chocolate PMS talk, I'm going to have a Manic Candy Giveaway. And this is open to all readers, regardless of sex, severity of PMS, chocolate allergies, etc.

Leave a comment telling me your favorite candy bar. From all the entries, I will randomly choose five and will send you the candy bar of your choice. You'll have to give me your address though, or maybe if you don't trust me, you can open a PO Box in order to get your candy!

When you receive the goods, simply let me know what kind of condition your chocolate arrived -- melted, smushed, perfect, crumbled, soggy... did you share it with anyone? Did you freeze it before you ate it? Did you toss it out? If you have a blog, you can share this info with your readers, and if I get a lot of comments, I might up the anty a little.

If I were playing, I would choose the ever-lovin' Zero bar (very hard to find) with it's white chocolate coating, and fudgy nutty inside, or a Heath Toffee or a Twix. I'm big on chocolate, crunch (but not necessarily peanut-crunch), and caramel.

Soooo... bring on the chocolate bars baby! What do you want me to send to you?

Either this is too easy or I'm too desperate for anything chocolate

However

Count me in for a Mars Bar (Gods gift to menstruating women)

cubmommy said...

Twix please! You know where I live!

ikkinlala said...

If Canadians are eligible, I'm interested in trying a Heath bar - I've heard they're slightly different from Skor (our version).

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Of course Canadians are welcome. I just don't know if I can deliver further than that!

So, we've got a Mars Bar, Twix and a Heath, which by the way are a personal favorite of mine (and I have had a Skor bar too). I like to lick all the chocolate off till there's just the toffee chunk and then eat that.

Anyone up for a Snickers or Milky Way?

Not a big candy fan period.

However,if I'm going to eat a candy bar these are two of my favorites (I know you said one)......

U-NO Bar and a Marathon.

Love the following names though....

Chick-O-Stick
Big Hunk
Mr. Goodbar
Oh Henry!
Krackel
Goo Goo Cluster

Want another challenge...place those all in a sentence.

;)

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

She took her chick-o-stick over to the Big Hunk and yelled, "Oh Henry! Hurry up before Mr. Goodbar comes back!" There was a Krackeling noise, and suddenly, a Goo Goo Cluster of love erupted, and Big Hunk sighed.

"Whew!" she said. "What a Marathon that was! Big Hunk, you are my UNO man baby!"

How dare you doubt the Manic!

Marathons used to be my ALL-TIME favorite candy bar.

OMG...I think I just mixed up Mars with Milky Way!! It's a Canadian thing...sorry!

Make mine a Milky Way then, it's the same thing/different name

Martini said...

MM.....I never doubted you one minute.

I did like the way you responded.

Is it hot in here or am I blushing :}

Symphony bar with almond and toffee chips! YUMMMMY!

Reeses yummmmmmmmm.... pick me pick me!!!!!

80% Cacao chocolates with little sugar-the ones you get at a whole foods. Neat stuff for those looooong days.

Anonymous said...

Can I bend the rules a little and say my favorite PMS candy is a Key lime Truffle from Godiva? If not, I would say a Milky Way!

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Okay, for those of you who aren't chocolate fans (like I used to be), go ahead and pick your candy of choice--want a pack of Skittles, or maybe some Gummi Savers? Sprees or Sweet Tarts... name it, and I'll add you to the list!

Ramblin--you're getting the Reese's automatically; you started this whole big mess! (I may have to put a call in to Hershey's for this one!)

Anon--I don't know what type of candy you're talking about? Sounds almost healthy, especially coming from Whole Foods.

And Monique--Ya had to go the expensive route huh?!!??!

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the great blog MM, BUT I do have to say something with all this "Hershey talk" - just like Ramblin Rose, Reese's was my favorite UNTIL Hershey's Confectionary Corporation came after my little home-based business :( Milkdudz - not your mommaz nursing wear is a Company dedicated to helping women feel sexy and stylish while breastfeeding, (MM - I actually found you through all that bfding talk on Conversations about Famous People :)) but apparently Hershey's feels that a 3rd party consumer would be confused btwn. our products and their candy??? Let me tell you, they have NOT been good for my PMS!!! Sorry for getting on my soapbox, but I felt that I had to tell my story/saga - it's not even close to being over either :( Cheers and I hope that everyone has a great week!

The dark chocolate Milky Way. I hunt for them at every store I go to and sometimes I'm lucky to find one.

Ahh Manic, you are the best!!! :)

Now send me your address I went shopping and have Tim Tams for you... oh yummy tim tams..... homer drool........

Do they still make those Slo-poke suckers- the carmel ones? Those were awesome. I also love peanut butter M&M's.... this post is making me hungry.

Mr. A said...

I've always enjoyed the boring old Milky Way!

Used to get them frozen at the town pool when I was kid...

That or the old Kit Kat bar!

I'll never tell said...

Whatchamacallits are good for that insatiable craving. (Frozen Snickers are wonderful too especially when it is 118 degrees outside.)

Anonymous said...

I love a Bar None straight from the freezer but I don't think they make them anymore. I haven't seen one in years.

Do Skor bars count as a candy bar...because I'm totally in love with them too. Mmmmm.... 5 am and I'm already craving chocolate...sigh.

her master said...

Snickers is the best all-around tide-me-over chocolate bar. Heath, though, that's the first thing that pops into my mind as top-o-the-line good. But don't send me any, Steph. I can buy my own if I really want one. Right now (well, not right this second) I buy a lot of Toblerone Dark; four bars at a time until the next time I hit Trader Joes.

Anonymous said...

Well, if I'm going to have a chance to win a freebie, I'm going for the gold - a Godiva chocolate bar - milk chocolate with coconut and macademia!

eatmisery said...

I like Hershey's Special Dark bars.

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Okay guys, if you haven't asked for your candy bar yet, you have until Wednesday morning to do so. Then I'll randomly pick the winners, and even if the winner is one of these high-falutent women who are demanding Godiva!

LOL!

And Her Master, I wanna send you chocolate, so I'm gonna have to put your name in the hat!

(I have a pet-sitting story for later too--we are watching my mom's dog. Harder than taking care of kids!)

pog mo thoin said...

I can offer some English/Irish candy in your import/export scheme. This includes anything Cadbury with some funky things like Turkish Delights, Aero bars, Wine/Fruit Gums, Jelly Babies, the list goes on.

Also, the do these "limited edition" things over here like White Chocolate Kit Kats, Orange and Caramel kit kats, stuff like that. I will gladly send them along for a peanut butter cup!

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Pog--wow, the Reese's must be a really hot item overseas, huh? I'm still trying to work out exporting details with Ramblin Rose, but she told me about a company where you might be able to get Reese's delivered to you.

If you're really craving a Reese's, try here: http://www.usafoods.com.au/

All this chocolate talk has me breaking out!

Martini said...

I wish you would have never used the term "Mouth Sex"....chocolate has a whole new meaning.

Now I can't innocently enjoy this talk about chocolate.

What am I to do?

Drewpy Drew said...

Hey, what's all this about a random drawing for the winner? How are we gonna bribe the judge? Maybe I'll try extortion. If you ever want to see this cute puppy again, I had better win.

lol :)

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

Ah, Drew, don't hate me for saying this but the quickest way for you to NOT win is to mention puppies, as I'm currently babysitting my sister, the Jack Russell Terrier named Lovey, who has shat on my carpet, shed on my couches, chairs and bed, and jumps into bed with me every night. So, you might not want to mention pups to me right now as I'm in puppy-sitting hell! (Don't worry, won't discount your entry though.

Drewpy Drew said...

I know what you mean. Rosie Cotton is the destructo-dog. I'm talking a new $2,000.00 floor. If she wasn't so cute, she'd be dead by now. Even though it's not worth anything, you have my sympathy. :(

mamashine said...

Oh, chocolate. Yummy. Count me in for a Milky Way Midnight.

Andie said...

King Size Take 5 Baby! Perfect combination of salty, sweet, nutty and chocolate. LOve that candy bar.

Or a 3 Musketeers. Because you know, after all, it has a 1/3 less fat.

Psst... can I bribe you with hurricane mix from New Orleans? ;)

Oh, and btw, in case you're not aware, Jack Russell Terriers are the most HYPER, DEFIANT dog breed out there. Just sayin... That's why you're having a tough time with your fur-sister. Sorry to hear about the issues!!!

Kate said...

Another vote for a Milky Way Midnight. Although, if you added some Xanax, I wouldn't mind too much. There are some days I wish it was in the water supply along with the fluoride! ;)

Rachelle Chase said...

You were right, Manic Mom -- your candy and my massage oil ... we're definitely on to something. LOL

Like a few others here, I'm in my Midnight Milky Way phase, though a couple of months ago it was the big 4-pack Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.

Fun contest! Thanks for holding it.

thisbearbites said...

My well-known favorite around here is peanut M&Ms.
My DH doesn't give me flowers, I get peanut M&Ms!
It's also easy to hygenically share and/or steal someone's - if they walked away from an open bag.

Martini said...

OK..okay. I've narrowed my choice from two to one.

MARATHON baby!

Now that's "old school"!

MaNiC MoMMy™ said...

What's with the Midnight Milky Ways. I'll have to try one of those.

and R Mar--yeah, like where in the hell am I gonna find a Marathon, if you win?

Martini said...

MM...now you didn't say anything about availability. However...here's some interesting info:

The Marathon Bar is gone but the Curly Wurly definitely takes it place. Each bar is the same size as the original... 1 inch by 8 inches of braided caramel covered with milk chocolate. You will not be disappointed.

With all that blogged...I crave a Curly Wurly.

:)

I'll never tell said...

Are Marathon Bars still around and if yes, where can I buy a couple dozen? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmemoriesmmmmmmmm!

mamashine said...

Never heard of Marathon or Curly Wurly. Want some though now.
